Camped in Han Solo. Had great neighbors all around. Friday night someone stole my corn holder and a Kavu bag with memory cards and other cherished possessions. Three random bros with rotting teeth had just passed through the camp, said they were locals, I was far on the other side, there were grills and other items of value lying about. Hope they get what they deserve whoever took the items. Sunday night I was concerned about my safety with all the crooked looking people wandering around. First person to come by tent was a young 18 m who's brain was fried asking if we wanted some fire white stuff. EXTREMELY SKETCHY! While 99% of people had the best vibes in the world, those left over were the scum of the earth. I guess that is the unfortunate truth of humanity.
Is there an official tally of the crimes at Bonnarro?
I was also at Han Solo, but the only shade I saw was the group of 8-10 wooks camped a couple over from us with their 3 huge "service dogs" that were pretty much wandering or locked in a car the whole time. And also the alarm clock that was one of the wooks COUGHING UP A LUNG every morning around 7am! We're talking like waking up 5 surrounding camp sights loud! My buddy woke up and went over, asked if he needed a cough drop or an inhaler...he said nah i just need a little ca-cane and ill be alright!!! ;D

Tons of fake corn this year.....way more than ever before. I kinda feel like Roo has morphed away from the community feel from years past and is just a big party now....which isn't all that bad because it's still the biggest baddest party on earth...
Had random security/safety people stop me and tell me to throw my cans of beer away and they went thru my bag and made sure I didnt have any more. Twice. Killed my buzz both times and felt very un-bonnaroo I shoulda just walked away and acted like I didn't hear em.
Also a girl in my party got some corn taken from her purse going into Centeroo
No I was already in Centeroo minding my own business sipping a beer when they walk up to me with that shiz.
Also earlier that day I had walked into centeroo with an open can of beer in my hand, one in each pocket and a backpack full. The guy searching me sees all of this and lets me through no questions asked.
On Saturday night some random walked into our RV. When we confronted him, he claimed to be intoxicated and had just picked the wrong RV. But he didn't seem intoxicated whatsoever and was very shady looking.
I think our guards were up higher after my friend had her backpack stolen from our campsite last year. Unfortunately we were camped right by Shakedown Street and we both had accidentally passed out before making sure everything of value was out of sight from the road. But the perp thought it was funny to leave a bootleg poster in exchange for the backpack. Hope karma gets him good.

I just remembered something, that could be shady considering your point of view.
So I'm pretty sure we've all seen the the feds (ATF or DEA or someone) at the Tollbooths searching random cars for druqs. I usually dread seeing them because although I never bring anything illegal, apparently they just rip everything out of your car and are A-holes.
Anyway, this year I was surprised to see them actually using their heads! Instead of pulling random cars over, they had an agent RIGHT at the beginning of the I-24 tollbooth shining a flashlight in all the drivers eye's looking for high / drunk drivers.

Midway through Phish's second set we were walking back to camp to pack up and drive home. Near the arch a half dozen dirty kids were in the middle of the road. One of them asked us if we wanted to give them anything that we were worried would get us in trouble if the cops pulled us over. We brushed them off with a quick "Uhhh....no.", but it was pretty strange.
That and the guy in their group smiling his toothless grin, swaying back and forth with a handpainted sign that said FREE BUGS.

Weird...
It weird to think that this is now weird at Bonnaroo. It used to be encounters like this constantly but instead of a brush off some idiotic and hilarious banter would be exchanged.

True, and had it been earlier in the fest then I probably would've engaged in some hilarious banter. I think I was too distracted saying bye to the arch and Centeroo for another year.
Reading all of this makes me even more thankful for the happiness and relaxation we experienced at Waka this year
Happiness and relaxation is all I have ever had in my 8 years at Roo, never had anything stolen or broken or serached or hassled. Sorry to anyone that did at Roo and Waka.

Same here, 8 years as well - knocks on wood. I feel sorry for anyone who has had anything stolen as well, I feel like a lot of this comes from locals/transients who sneak into the campgrounds. As for those who were caught with drugs or alcohol and they didn't press charges or kick you out, just shake it off - it's Bonnaroo, not an everything-is-legal-fest. You got lucky it wasn't worse.
The shadiest thing besides my ez-up that I saw this year was some clean-cut douche nozzle with a vendor wristband walked into my campsite trying to sell 15 strips of paper to people but I told him to get lost. Then I find out later that my really gullible buddy bought some from him and learned a pricey lesson.

This having been my first Bonnaroo, after reading through this thread I'm beginning to think my girlfriend and I are fortunate to have missed a whole lot of shadiness/awfulness throughout this year's festival.
We are in our late 20's, like to drink, we don't engage in the activities in which others were being cited, etc., and we camped over at the KOA next door. We have been talking recently as to our not seeing a single member of security after going through the gates or a police officer (outside of those on the roadways) the whole time we were there. I've been having post-Roo depression after having had such a wonderful time this year and I can't wait to go back, but this thread is making me think that I should be a bit more on my toes next year. We snuck in cans of beer and just poured them into our used beer cups from inside, and never had a hint of a problem.
Sorry to all those who had the bad experiences from the shady folks there.
We camped in Marty McFly near Pod 3. Wednesday night we crashed after getting our tent set up. Unfortunately, I was so tired that I left my driver window open. My wife's iPod and Kindle were taken. Luckily, they didn't take anything else. On Thursday night we returned to find our coolers rifled through and a few beers taken, but nothing serious. On Friday night our neighbors had their bags gone through and dumped out a couple sites over. The shady stuff didn't ruin our weekend, but it made us all a bit sad.
