I'm close enough where I considered taking Dad to see him. Especially after he added to the second night. Opted for Dylan instead. Part to save some cash and head to West Palm and part because I think the setlist will be similar.
6 rows back? Wow... You're in VIP at 'Roo aren't you?
I never do VIP at Bonnaroo, probably never will. My grandfather is very wealthy and one of the people that he was going to take ended up not going so I got the ticket.
I was at the Saturday show. It was spectacular, I wish I could be at Bonnaroo. Imarob and Don Flamenco, did it seem like the crowd was a bit sedate for such a great show?

I wasn't at the show but that's been the case for the other Macca concerts I've attended. That's why this one will be so special. I caught him at Coachella in 2009 (which was great of course) but historically Bonnaroo crowds bring a much higher level of energy. I have a feeling this will be the greatest Macca set I'll ever see.

Are there any recent, full sets of his that I can download or listen to somewhere? Preferably in good quality (not a taper bootleg)? I have been meaning to fill up my iTunes with my Beatles albums but haven't gotten around to it and there's no Beatles on spotify.
Got some free passes to a screening of "Rockshow" the other night, and if that didn't pump me up for Roo, I don't know what will. Wings were such an underrated band -- their music was made to be played on the farm! Just the happiest shit ever recorded. I can see it now -- as soon as they rip into the first notes of "Junior's Farm", the whole farm will start levitating.
Also, I am looking forward to watching Paul's hilarious in-between-song actions and movements just as much as I am looking forward to the music itself.

Yeah when I saw him the crowd wasn't nearly as electric as I thought they would be. It also sucked caused I could find no one to go with me so I was solo and I still had a great time.
I think that's what's going to make this show so special for me. I won't be alone. I got teary eyed thinking about it the other night. I'm always doing so much solo and I hate that I had no one to really share that first McCartney show with but this time there will be thousands and that just makes me .....happy doesn't seem to describe it but it's going to be wonderful. I'm thankful that the timing of all this worked out perfectly with where I am in my life and I can't wait to sing along with so many great songs with so many great people.

Still putting his performance in perspective but it was easily in the top five I've seen.
it was amazing! he was so cool, mellow and funny and he can still sing. a true artist and showman. if this was the last night of roo it would have been an incredible fest, but there's still 2 more days of awesomeness to go!!!
The best show I have ever seen, so amazing, Paul blew me away, loved the pyrotechnics and fireworks during live and let die. I also loved it when he ran out with the Tennessee state flag during his encore.

Gonna add myself to the list: Best show I've ever seen. Everyone I overheard after the set, from the second it ended to today at the Nashville airport, was talking about how great he was.

Second row in the pit and those fireworks scared the shit out of my entire group. One of the most memorable and terrifying moments of any show I've seen haha

Your videos give me chills I am SO glad I was in the middle of that sea of people for that show. Such good vibes all around, and seriously the most amazing show I've ever seen at Roo. That even topped Tool and Pearl Jam for me.....
There's no way to describe this show. What a truly epic performance. Loved the banter. Loved the setlist. Loved the pyrotechnics. Loved the LOVE in audience -- was one of the most genuinely HAPPY crowds at a Roo show I've ever been a part of.
So glad I was part of Roo history. This one's goin' down in the books as a defining Roo show.
