I've seen them 4 times. The Roo set was a let-down. Lolla 09 was killer!! Their DJ set at Lolla was not. But their p4k show last summer was awesome too! I'm seeing them again in ATL on Sep 30, so we'll see how that goes. I'm thinking they may end up being a headliner at Moogfest this year, but who knows. Hoping for a Roo LN, though!!

I'm really hoping that Centipede Hz is awesome. I'm guessing that it's gonna take a bit of a left turn and be pretty different from their last two albums.
I gave these guys a second chance at pitchfork last year. they KILLED. jaw-dropping, extended version of Brother Sport. this must happen.

The songs I've heard from it are pretty different, but no two animal collective albums really sound the same. Most of the set from the video in the first post has Centipede Hz songs in it.

My favorite band and unfortunately the only time I've ever seen them was in '09. I'd love for them to be back.
And I fully expect Centipede HZ to be every bit as good as MPP, Strawberry Jam, Feels, Sung Tongs, etc... The singles I've heard and the live songs are all phenomenal.
They are not even remotely in the class of bands that would headline Bonnaroo. LN Which is even pushing it in my opinion. It is a lot more likely they would be in the LCD 2010 slot imo.

new song is in-fucking-credidble. seen em 4 times with the worse being the infamous 09 set and i still had a blast. even though i though i was going to die.
