Mud Alert! I rode my bike through the venue yesterday afternoon just before thunderstorms and heavy rain moved through yet again. The Great Lawn in front of the main, Mast Stage, was extremely muddy. The other stages were in pretty good shape. The Mast Stage is closest to the Ohio river and was probably used last week for an extremely rainy 4th of July event with Kool and the Gang. The weekend weather forecast looks decent, 85-90 with little chance of additional rain, but after yesterdays heavy rain and the existing mud it will be a big mess.
I'd love to see them promote Purity Ring to the Boom Stage. Then bring in a smaller DJ to open up the Ocean Stage on Sunday and push everyone else down, having Baauer close it that night.

Glad I saw AnCo at Roo then! But now we ask ourselves: do they find someone else to step in, or do they elevate an act from a smaller stage to play on a big one? I'm voting that they move Purity Ring to the big stage. They had a ton of people at their Roo show, I'm sure the crowd is good for it. I'm kind surprised they weren't already on a big stage...

Damn, at this rate I'm starting to feel like I won the lottery getting to see AC at roo.
I have to echo this thought. I'm now batting 1-3 with AC this year. Detroit (cancelled), Roo (home run), Forecastle (cancelled). Glad I was there for the home run or I'd be pissed.

They should move greensky over to animal collective's spot to keep the bluegrass going and they wouldn't completely conflict with robert plant. That should also allow for purity ring to play a longer set on the redbull stage.

Our dog became real sick an so we are having to cancel Forecastle at the last minute. I am stuck in Atlanta with 2 VIP passes for the weekend. Tickets are hard so I would have to over night them to someone in the next hour. Pm your address and I will ship them to you

Sorry about your dog, but that's really generous. Post on Louisville's Craigslist, I'm sure you'll find someone. A lot of people here are deciding to go last minute because the weather will be good.

I'm seeing Moon Taxi, Big Boi, Bob Mould, probably a bit of Boys Noize, and then SCI. Anybody have suggestions for the first acts of the day between Salva, Roadkill Ghost Choir, Pumps of Joytime, and The Pass?

So folks, you see my avatar...that is the flag I'll be carrying around for our group. I have one of the big extendable flag poles so it will be easy to see. I think everyone will be in town by 7:30, so let's tentatively plan to meet up at Big Boi at the flag. Sound good?
BTW, if you're with me for Boys Noize tonight, I have about 200 of the thin glow sticks already in the festival waiting for me. So...that's happening.
Already decided I am doing Zanzabar for Friday night and Mag Bar (Magnolia Bar) Saturday night. As a local, these are already my two favorite places to dance my ass off and with all the festival people in town it should be even better.
Folks, you will not find better after parties and on Saturday night our very own BANSHEEBEAT will be playing Mag Bar!

I'll be at Salva if I get in the gates on time. He's a solid EDM act if you're into that.
