Let's do this. If you're not at City Park you're suspect.
Bad news for me: looks like some close friends of mine are getting married this weekend. Good news is its in New Orleans. So at least I might make Sunday.

I'll keep throwing Green Day in the mocks, not because I want them there, but because I assume they will be, based on the language used when they cancelled this year. If they want to come back Rehage won't turn them down.
So long as NIN is there and we have a much better undercard then this year I'll be happy.
Agreed about Green Day. Even with 2011 being the year they went with a larger Le Plur stage instead of a 2nd main stage, the undercard was ridiculously good. Couldn't say the same this year. One thing about Voodoo though, I feel that pretty much everyone plays well here. I'm not a huge fan of Metallica or KISS or Muse, but I think they all had what I'd consider really good shows for them.
Can Voodoo help with discounted airfare? You know it. American Airlines and Delta are offering a 5% discount to members of the Voodoo tribe. For more information on airfare and travel: ow.ly/ge95y
You could have helped by offering EZpay for holiday sale, ya big dummies.
Credentials on-sale now until February 14th at exclusive presale pricing. When you purchase your credentials during Voodoo Valentines, you're automatically entered to win a Loa VIP campsite for 2013. EZ Pay is available. To buy: ow.ly/hpwMJ

Any of you camp for this? I know it was new this year and was wondering how the camping was. Also, is VIP worth it? I have heard from others that it has the best amenities as far as vip goes of any other fest. Sadly we may be missing bonnaroo this year so i may save for vip.
Seemed like they did a good job with the camping last year but I was not a part of it because fuck that when you have friends in nola. They jacked the prices up on VIP this year, so it's questionable as to whether or not it's worth it. Front access to all of the stages is cool but it get's ridiculous for the main stage during the headliners and you're better off chilling somewhere else if you get there late. It's just a matter of how important clean bathrooms and free carnival rides are too after that. Their VIP is cheaper than most, but definitely not the best/most amenities. Hangout wins that award.
It was an auction for a Mardi Gras themed school fundraiser. My winning bid was $1050, but split with another person. It's six nights, air fair and stocked condo. Hoping that a Saints home game falls somewhere during that mix, and we're also going to take an airboat trip in the swamp! I've never been to New Orleans, so I'm pretty excited!
Nice. You can do serious damage in 6 nights. Let me know when you need food recommendations. Lots of shit to skip that conventional wisdom says are must-dos.
Thanks! I will for sure PM you about food! I know our condo is outside of the Quarter. The older couple that won last year said it was in a bad area, but I was kind of under the impression that most of NO was in a bad area... They said they took a cab everywhere, but two of us are driving and two are flying (our air is $750 in SW tickets.) I'm pretty excited to see and experience some LA culture, so some tips about food and other stuff to do would be great!
Yeah, once you know which condos, let me know. It may be in a less-than-desirable area, but also some people are just scared and lily-white. I'd have a hard time believing they're posting you up in Gert Town or something. I've lived here almost a decade, am all over town, and never had an issue. Like any city, don't make yourself a target.
