Sunday night conflict sucks. Will probably catch HTDA then the Cure. Always seem to miss Bassnectar due to conflicts.
Oh well.
2 hours for Pearl Jam and The Cure will be great. The NIN set at Roo was twice as long.
Still need to look up bands now and build my schedule. The headliners are where its at, now it is just what bands will determine what time I get there.

Wow, once this schedule is laid out I fully realize how weak the undercard is. Easily the worst undercard of any festival I have attended.
My schedule illustrates this further:
Friday I'll just be catching Pearl Jam and the end of Calvin Harris, because I'll be arriving late.
Saturday:
Dirty South > Big G > Afrojack > NIN
Sunday:
Fleur Debris > The Revivalists > The Cure
I'm not one to complain about scheduling, but I want to complain about this scheduling. HTDA, Dr. John, Bassnectar, and The Cure all at the same time? I guess I should have expected it, but wow, that is awful.
I am really, really glad I'm as stoked about the headliners as I am.

Now that the schedule is out I don't have many conflicts. I have already seen HTDA but I have to catch them again. Some might go meh, some will go, wtf did I just see. The latter was me .. cr****
That HtDA/Cure conflict is criminal. Guess I'm missing the first half of The Cure.
You know this is a mistake.
Ugh. ok, I'm going to watch the first 3 Cure songs (Plainsong > Pictures of You > Lullaby). Then walk over and catch a couple HtDA songs. Then get back to The Cure before Just Like Heaven. Can bounce between stages really fast at Voodoo.

I gotta catch the full Cure set. I know HtdA only play rarely, but I still think I have a better chance of catching them again then I do The Cure.
'Evening everybody. This is going to be our second year at VooDoo and our first camping. I've searched camping and read the posts that pulled up, so if this has already been asked, I apologize. It looks like we will be carrying our supplies in and parking somewhere else. Does that sound right? If so, does anyone know if we will be able to drive up to our campsites to unload?
Or is it set up like 'Roo where you just camp at the back/front of your vehicle?
How hard is the 12'X12' limit on space? In a news article I saw it shows tents spaced out a bit, but I don't think it really was a shot of VooDoo. Looked more like Electric Forest.
Just wanting to determine which tents and supplies to carry and still be a good neighbor.
Thanks!
Oh! And I too caught NIN at Roo in '09. Can't wait to see them again!
I'm with Postjack, this undercard is godawful! Saturday looks absolutely terrible. NIN is seriously only scheduled to play for 75 minutes?? The Sunday conflicts are brutal as well. I'm assuming they are going to reschedule some stuff around before the festival.
NIN only playing barely over an hour is a major dealbreaker for me. I'm gonna have to bail around 7pm or so and go hit up WSP again. That short set plus mostly new album is just too meh for me to waste my time on when Panic will be throwing down a heater at UNO.
Just can't go from the epic Roo NIN set to some half assed moneygrab.

I'm doing the Revivalists on Thursday and the Super Jam on Saturday at Howlin Wolf. I found some other shows while looking.
Thursday:
Rebirth Brass Band and Kermit Ruffins- 4-8pm in Armstrong Park FREE Galactic w/ Dirt Dozen Brass Band - Civic Quintron and Miss Pussycat w/ zzz and Cave - One Eyed Jacks Revivalists - Howlin Wolf
Friday:
Dumpstaphunk w/ Earphunk - Howlin Wolf George Porter Jr - DBA
Sat:
Funk Super Jam - Howlin Wolf Rebirth Brass Band w/ Mannie Fresh - Maison Trombone Shorty - Tipitinas
Looks like they added LEOPOLD AND HIS FICTION to take that slot according to the schedule on the website, but they never said shit about it on fb. Probably because it's an extremely weak replacement. Voodoo didn't even remove HtDA from the fb banner until like two weeks after HtDA announced the cancelled sets. amateurs.

They also added Maxim of Prodigy. May not be HTDA but it's a pretty good addition at this point
Really not sure what I'm going to do before Cults on Saturday. Maybe a dope ass lunch at Katie's? fried catfish meuniere over fries?
Try to at least check out some of the first half of Reignwolf. I may end up watching all of him and just catching the last half of Cults. But yeah I'm probably getting there late on saturday too, because that's gonna be a long night. Monsters of Funk could be going on till 4 or 5 am.
