I was quarantined last year (my first in BFE Pod 1) and I just relaxed and partied all night... We had a nice beer pong set up and friendly neighbors, so it was actually really fun out there because it was very liberal all the way out there. I decided not to escape until morning, as I had a small personal tent for rest that I had planned to use in TO. Ended up straggling in around 10 or 11am and was able to find a small patch on the edge of TO near more friendly people who were nice enough to allow me to setup there. If you are friendly at Bonnaroo, people take notice. It ended up being a perfect site to rest when I didn't need to make the longer journey back to my car. I passed out there almost every night and routinely stocked it with what I needed to get by. I'm hoping this same approach works again this year, but in lieu of this thread I will try to get set up earlier (or after the guards fall asleep).

I've never camped in TO...but I always figured that if my spot was a long way out then I would do what your doing. Its a great idea to keep from having to make the walk all the time. Problem this year is that my wife and a large group of friends are coming...so my hiking tent wouldn't cut it.
Best news ever. Now lets just hope I don't get quarantined.
This might be the wrong thread for this, but could someone please tell me what this whole quarantine thing was about? Were monkeys involved?
Basically, the campgrounds open technically 8pm Wednesday night. Centeroo does not open until 12n Thursday. As you may expect, they are still doing last minute prep stuff in Centeroo after the campgrounds have opened. As seen in the above picture, there is only one way in and out of BFE. This road is also used by trucks and some machinery in the last minute Centeroo prep and also all the vehicles coming into VIP on Thursday morning. Therefore, since the prep stuff has to be done, they close that road off to foot traffic so the trucks can go back and forth easily without having to worry about foot traffic, so all the work requiring machinery can be done hopefully by the time that VIP opens at 7am. It sucks for the people in BFE, but without constructing another road, I don't see it ending anytime soon.
Oh, ok! In my head it had something to do w/ people having to set up camp in muddy drainage ditches and a leaky or overturned porta potty . But then I couldn't figure out why the people in TO were quarantined, and not just the area itself. Your answer makes much more sense. Thanks!
One would hope that one of these years they'll put a trail from Odd Job or James Bond throught the woods that would maintain the flow of traffic while still allowing folks to migrate to Tent Only. Maybe we can coordinate an effort for folks to mention it in their post-Roo surveys this year...

Crap. I didn't know that that's where they were based. Bummer.
