It's been forever since I've seen Damon Albarn in any form live, so I'm quite psyched about this set. Everyday Robots is decent, nothing spectacular, but it looks like the Blur/Gorillaz songs we're getting should be solid.

I ended up lucking out at sxsw and made it in for his set at fader fort with Snoop Dogg and Del and Dan the Automater. it was off he chain. Lots of gorillaz stuff and chill otherwise.
My only hope (that wasn't met) was that Bobby Womack would have come over, but his set started 20 minutes late so that probably ruined the odds of that happening.

Was a great set but I was surprised at how uncrowded it was. Most people I talked to near me had no idea who he was (WHICH WAS JUST SAD!) and finally figured it out when Clint Eastwood played.

^ Which is sad. Blur was talked about as a dang HEADLINER at one point last year (or the year before). Bonnaroo got it right by putting him on What. The man can FLAT OUT perform and his set was VERY VERY GOOD.

I'm not the most familiar with his catalogue besides Everyday Robots, but I love his singing voice and just had a feeling. He's such a genuine guy, I especially liked when he was talking about Glasto and someone interrupted him and he was like, "well, I wouldn't have just given that history lesson if I knew it was time for them to come out, but, here's De La Soul." I would have bet any amount of money that neither De La, but especially Del would have been there. I've never seen De La in any capacity, and I love Del/hiero and don't have many opportunities to see him. So him coming out on the What Stage was definitely surreal for me.
I really enjoyed this show and found him to be one of the most easily likable artists of the weekend.
front row center for this was one of the top experiences I've had this year.
best set I've seen this far.
wish more people cared about stuff aside from Gorillaz though.
This and seasick Steve made me love what stage day sets again. This show was amazing. He seemed to really enjoy himself too.
ITM this just made me remember I only checked out Seasick Steve on a reccomendation you made in one of these threads and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you because it was the most incredible set I saw all weekend

This was Bonnaroo's best kept secret.
I was able to walk from the rail to Cake and easily walk into the pit for this right before it started. We set up blankets in the back of the pit and had so much room to just go barefoot and dance. That absolutely blows my fucking mind that we had room to do that in a What Stage pit.
I was doing laps of excitement around my friends when they brought Del out. I almost teared up during Photographs and Heavy Seas of Love. This was hands down my #1 set of the weekend.
I'm a seven time Roo-goer and this was easily in the top 5 experiences I've ever had at the fest. That's coming from someone who enjoys Gorillaz but rarely listens to them and knows criminally little about blur. My friend and I decided to go for pit on a whim, actually because of the new album more than anything. We wound up in the second row, dead center (sounds like some of you must have been right there). He gave so much attention to the people in the pit and his energy and stage presence were just off the charts. I was right there when he came into the crowd and my friend got one of the three drumsticks (sorry if he was taller than you). Everything from the guests to the backing band was just on point. With the fact that JPJ was intently listening side stage and Wayne Coyne walked past everyone on the way out of the pit it was just a surreal time.
That was my first time seeing Albarn and he didn't disappoint. Easily one of the highlights of my weekend, and so easy to walk right in the pit. My buddy recorded most of it on his Gopro, I'm happy to share as soon as he gets it to me.
