Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'd want to see White Denim and War on Drugs, which conflict against the Pats game.
For the $85, there's a bunch of stuff on the lineup I'd like to see - but none strongly. Those two above, Nas and the Roots, and Spoon are the most interesting names to me.
With the delays here and also at Lock'n this weekend is the new festival season heading towards more spring shows? I know they do both for yours. Sorry you missed out.
EDIT : How was the process from your point of view? It looked crazy via social media with the lines and regaining entrance.

Out smooth and easy, good social media presence by BC to keep is up on things. Reentry would have been great if the cops hadn't dropped the ball and incited a minor riot before the gates reopened

Yeah ... I can't imagine how much fun that was for them and everyone else being evacuated and then re-entering. I'm just glad it all worked out so everyone could finish the fest.

Tough breaks for BC organizers. Supposedly getting fined from last night for a curfew violation - not for live music, but for playing their own music while people left. Then the weather today.
Id just like to say that in the face of adversity, they did as much as they could and made all the right moves. They were proactive in getting people out of there as the thunderstorm set in. It could have been way more of a shitshow than it was, that's for sure.
Lorde was boring... Gambino had great energy but the sound wasn't good. Dude puts on a wild show though.

Lorde was great. Childish Gambino was good but the sound/crowd where I was was iffy. I don't blame him though. Surprised they even let us back in. Re entry was very unorganized. They need two entrances next festival. Also, I really don't like the layout of the grounds. Too many bars and only one small water refill station. I know it's September but hydration is number one. Today should be good with the Mats and the Roots. Would I go again? Not unless the lineup is as good as it is this weekend.

The BPD is pretty good/terrible for that sort of crap.
And you can't really help the weather, planning something so far in advance. There is no real time of the year when you can guarantee dry weather.
Good weird or bad weird? I recall them being interesting to watch as there is a lot of jumping , running , etc. I also recall a ton of rabid young fans.

I probably should've checked this out before the fest and not after, but if you wore a bonnaroo shirt today and a girl came up to you showing her bandana and giving you a high five, that was me HIIIII!!
anyways, Twenty One Pilots were so weird!! They came out in ski masks, then started playing rock, then switched to rap, then introduced a ukelele, then back to rock, it felt like they were too indecisive to choose any 1 style of music so figured 'might as well do them all' (not that I mind, they did all of them pretty well!)
best part was definitely when the 1975 pulled that girl up onto stage and the camera kept coming to her as she was either texting someone or taking selfies on stage. amazing.
edit: oh, and I staffed with them (like volunteering but we actually get paid) and it's great. for re-entry after the evacuation I just went in through the staff entrance and got nice and close to Lorde's stage as everyone else was stuck in what was apparently a god-awful mess. that said, the organizers did the best they could. I talked to one of them after and apparently the wind blew down some parts of one of the stages leaving a ton of heavy metal debris flying around and some live wires here and there as well, hence why it took them so long to let everyone back in after the second wave. honestly, I'm surprised they let us back in at all since I could still see lightening but from what he said BPD gave them the green light and they took it.

We could have hung out!
And gone to the Questlove afterparty at The Sinclair! (Which was fucking awesome, for those wondering.)

Neutral weird. Like Yulia said, all over the shop stylistically. Rabid teenage fanbase, mostly female. Plus I'm pretty sure the lead singer is absolutely nutbar

Twenty One Pilots were really fucking bad. Like worst band of the festival bad.
Spoon were awesome, The Mats were the best and Nas x The Roots could have used more Nas but it was still pretty fun. I thought Lorde was really impressive, she definitely proved herself worthy of headlining a stage. Friday was a great day, Future Islands killed it and Neutral Milk Hotel were fantastic. The National were somewhat sleepy, but still pretty solid. Sky Ferriera was probably my biggest surprise of the fest. I had low expectations, but she put on a fun show.
1. The Replacements 2. Spoon 3. Lake Street Dive 4. Lorde 5. Sky Ferreira 6. The War on Drugs 7. The Hold Steady (I'm not a big THS fan, but this set was tight) 8. San Fermin (Would have been higher if the male lead sang a bit less >_>) 9. Nas x The Roots 10. Bleachers (I would be shocked if they weren't at Roo 15. Surprisingly fun set) 11. Clifflight 12. S. Carey 13. Gentleman Hall 14. White Denim 15. St. Nothing 16. The 1975 17. Twenty One Pilots 18. Childish Gambino

What was with the sound for Childish Gambino? Sounded like he was yelling in an echo chamber, couldn't understand a word. He did have a pretty good backing band though.

I thought it might be that they hadn't figured out how to mix that stage well for hip-hop, but Nas and The Roots were both perfectly audible. I assume that it's Gambino and his team that did a bad job.
He and his sounded like they lost the Volume Wars. You know how on POWER, all of Kanye's production is just sort of walled together? It was like that, except this wall was not structurally sound to begin with. Bass was overwhelmingly high, drums were uneven, vocals were too loud (and/or he had the mic in his mouth). Guitars/synths/anything melodic was just washed over.
