Nearly 45 years after Woodstock, a new festival is going up the country – or, at least, up the Hudson River – to bring a three-day weekend’s worth of music to the New York area. The Hudson Project, a new music and arts festival promising more than 85 musical acts, will make its debut this year from July 11 through 13, and will be held at the Winston Farm in Saugerties, N.Y., its organizers said on Tuesday. The Hudson Project promises four stages’ worth of performances – musicians were not immediately disclosed but are expected to be announced next week – as well as an emphasis on local arts and crafts; gourmet food, wine and beer; and “a wide range of camping choices from top-level luxury accommodations,” according to a news release.
The festival will be produced by the entertainment companies MCP Presents and SFX Entertainment, and the landowners are represented by Michael Lang, one of the founders of the Woodstock festival, whose 1994 revival was also held at the Winston Farm. Mr. Lang said in a statement: “It was always my intention to make a permanent venue at the farm after the ’94 festival and it’s finally coming to fruition. The Hudson Project will be a wonderful addition to the valley.”
This actually looks pretty decent. They said ticket prices would be between $150-$200 which would be really reasonable for this lineup, hopefully it includes camping too!

According to Jambase they are offering different types of camping options:
"Jonathan Fordin, president of MCP Presents, said his company has received the necessary approvals to hold the three-day festival and that the lineup of performers and details about ticket sales will be announced by the end of March."
They have 3 days left to announce. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled.
Well it is put on by MCP Presents- CounterPoint, TomorrowWorld, Buku and Camp Bisco. Camp is on hiatus this year, so this is MCP's alternative. Same weekend and everything.
A few of my Roo crew have tickets already for this. Presale for alums for 180. I might be down for this. I'll be in Tennessee the next weekend and have Newport Folk the weekend after so it'll be tricky. It'll come down to my best friend's birthday- we'll probably either do Hudson or Vibes. I think she's waiting on the official lineup to drop before deciding. I think she'll want Hudson more, but her boyfriend is a HUGE Biscuit guy, so he's basically set on Vibes.... I can't do both because 4 weekends of shenanigans in a row might kill me (and use up all my vaca days and funds)
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Yea, the timing of this really sucks. If the line up is good I'll have to do some real finessing to make it work. Also depends on ticket price. And the fact that it'd be a 9 1/2 hour drive, more than likely alone, & the weekend before Forecastle. Funds will be real tight, so it's going to need to be a damn good line up & a reasonable ticket price.
With that being said, I'd really like to go. Legendary site that I'd really like to visit, and some of those tentative acts are can't miss people for me. We'll see what happens. Hopefully the line up drops in the next couple days.
If it's 180 right now, I would imagine it would like 205/210 when it actually goes on sale. I'm lucky that this is only like 2 hours away from me. The real issue is that I usually work Saturday and Sunday at my second job. So in addition to ticket price and spending, etc., I will be loosing out on a lot of money as well (for the third weekend in a row).

If I buy a ticket now and jump on a payment plan its only $60 down and $40 a month through June, and I can always flip the ticket if the lineup sucks... But I still havent even gotten my Roo ticket... Hmm...

If you want my opinion, and obviously you do... duh, I'd wait unless you can't do Roo for some reason. You already know the line up for Roo, & you have no idea how this first time festival line up is going to look. But that's just my two cents.
Bonz, you have a good point about the ticket price... I guess I didn't realize that 1) tickets were on sale now & 2) they were priced so high already. If the ticket is $200 or more, it's a definite no-go for me. I can't swing that right before Forecastle, and for something so far away that'd I'd be going to alone. If The Weeknd is on that line up though, it's really going to pull at my heart strings...

It will be held on the Winston Farm in Saugerties, NY. Yes, it is the same location as the Woodstock '94 festival. There have been no other festivals (or other events) at this site since the '94 festival.

What's there to be confused about? That's not the line up, those are tentative (meaning POSSIBLE) acts. Don't worry you're pretty little head, the line up comes out 4-1

I get that, I just don't get what Orlando's reply contributed to the discussion. If that lineup turns out to be true, that may honestly be one of my fav lineups of the season.
