I'd posted on the first page of this thread that I was going to be making my return to Bear Creek this year, but turns out I can't make it after all. I'm having surgery that Thursday. I'll make it back one day!!!!!

We're probably getting there Friday AM, so I'm going to have to miss Funky Knuckles on Thursday. Also, I f'd up and bought only 4 tickets, so I gotta get another one. I emailed them to see if they'd honor the price I paid back in July, and hopefully they will. If not, well you can't win them all.
Friday looks like: Captain Green > Yojimbo > Green Sunshine > Floozies > Umphrey's > Break Science > Umphrey's > Earphunk > Tauk > New Mastersounds > Budos Band
Saturday looks like: Main Squeeze > Oteil Burbridge & Roosevelt Collier Band > Budos Band/Mande Super Jam ??? > Chris Robinson's Soulive Review > Earphunk/Nth Power > Umphrey's > Lettuce > Tauk > Dumpstajam ??? > The Heard
Sunday looks like: Nth Power > Dumpstaphunk > New Mastersounds > Lettuce
Looks like it ends pretty early on Sunday night. Lots of conflicts for me on Friday and Saturday forcing me to miss some stuff I'd like to see (luckily some acts are 2x, so it's make-upable.

The Floozies / Turkuaz conflict is unforgivable. I recommend splitting time if you can.
I've never been to Bear Creek, but I've been to Spring Fest twice. I know where the main stage and the music hall are, and I assume that the Purple Hat stage is somewhere in the big field. Where is DC's Forest Stage? Is that the Porch stage near the main stage?

Your assumption on the Purple Hat stage is correct. I'm fairly sure you are correct about the Forest stage as well. I don't know if they had the stage names last year, but they used the Porch Stage.
Yeah, Big IV Amphitheater is called Buffalo's Amphitheater now, DC's Forest Stage has to be what was once called Uncle Charlie's Porch Stage, and they're not using the campground stage this year. My first year of Bear Creek I was camped really close to campground stage by the lake and it was nice to just be eating brunch at camp and all of a sudden Earphunk is playing right there and then our friends, Vagabond Swing, that were camped next to us, played right after Earphunk. Then I walked over to Scrog's camp and met a bunch of inforoo people on here for the first time. Then we raged together. And got hugs from Charles Bradley.
They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.

According to the Facebook page, they are not using the Porch stage this year. DG's Forest Stage will be where the Spirit Stage was / is at Hulaween. It's just a ways down past the Apmhitheater on the other side of the road.

I'm getting pretty excited about the possibilities with the Arduino platform, there's so much out there and it's pretty basic. Time consuming, but basic. I can't wait to see what you've got going on Mojo.
If you see a guy with a flamingo duct taped to his hat, come up and say hi to me xD
This'll be my first time going to a festival solo =(
Also, is anyone aware of commands that the blue macaw parrot understands? I know if you say what's up while rising your arms up, he'll flex his wings and do a bird call.
