If the leaked schedule holds true, I think a lot of us have some hard decisions to make this year. Let's help each other make them! Or, just bitch and moan about your conflicts in here, that's fine too. =)
Here are my potential game plans:
Friday
1. Camp out at What all day. Big Sam > Umph > Janelle > VW > Kanye. Pros: I'd be able to get pit for a bunch of good shows as well as get a potentially great spot for Kanye (a top show for me), and I wouldn't have to spend energy hopping between stages or anything like that. Cons: I've seen Monae before (though her show is amazing), there's no shade in the What field, and while VW will be a good show, they're not an must-see for me. I'd also be missing NMH, who are my #1 non-HL act - I'm only okay with this because I could see them when they come to Philly (which costs more $ obviously), and though I'd love to see them at Roo, I'd have to do it from the back of a tent, unless I do game plan number two. And I'd only get to see 5 shows doing this.
2. Big Sam > Umph > The Naked and Famous > 1/2 Andrew Bird > NMH > Kanye Pros: I get a half decent spot to see the band I wanted to see most (and I could head to This halfway through Jake Bugg instead to get a better spot), and I wouldn't have to pay to see them in Philly. I could get to the What field before everyone comes over from Phoenix, though it still probably wouldn't be a terrific spot. Cons: I don't know TN&F (yet), and I'm not crazy about Andrew Bird.
3. Big Sam > Umph > The Naked and Famous > A Tribe Called Red > Phoenix > Kanye Pros: I get to dance my butt of at a Tribe Called Red, which won't be packed. I get to see all of Phoenix (I don't care whether or not I'm close for them). I won't have to see any half-sets. Overall it'd be a pretty satisfying day. Cons: Would get a pretty shitty spot for Kanye, and would miss NMH.
Right now I'm leaning towards #3 because I'm more hyped for ATCR and Phoenix than Janelle and VW, and this plan has the most music I want to see.
Edit: I've decided on Janelle > NMH. I like NMH way too much to not see them at Roo. I'll catch VW eventually. I'm also gonna just skip Phoenix so I can still get a semi-decent spot for Kanye.
Saturday The daytime closers were a big conflict for me, but I think I'm just gonna catch James Blake and then head over to the pit line for Jack White. Cut/Copy, Lauryn Hill, and John Butler Trio are all big shows for me, but not as big as Jack. I still might catch the tail end of one of these shows just because I won't get a chance to anytime else (I probably wouldn't pay to see them individually), but we'll see.
As for LN Saturday, my current plan is Frank Ocean > Darkside, but I'm wondering if I might be better off at Flaming Lips (especially if they announce they're doing a bunch of Beatles covers). I like Frank and am more familiar with his music, but I can't imagine that his show would be incredibly energetic. I've heard the FLips are a sight to see though, so I'm intrigued. Realistically I'll probably just wander. Also, Kaskade and Zedd are pretty much the same person in my mind - can anyone elaborate on the differences between the two of them? I mean, I suppose I could just listen to them, but opinions are always welcome.
Edit: Decided on James Blake > Cut Copy. That way I can dance if I wanna dance, but I can still leave early to get to the What field. As for LN, I'm gonna do 1/2 Superjam, 1/2 FLips, Darkside, and Zedd.
I love Bonnaroo.
Feel free to weigh in, especially if you've seen some of these bands live.

I too am having conflict between Janelle Monae / The Naked & Famous. I love the What Stage Lineup on Friday, but I also really want to see Dr. Dog. and Jon Batiste.
As far as Saturday night goes, I will say that you have to see a FLIPS show at some point. I saw them in Mexico when they came down with My Morning Jacket for One Big Holiday. Parts of the show were a little too dreamy for late night to keep me totally energized, but their sets are like nothing I've ever seen before. Definitely suggest at least stopping by over there.

Janelle puts on an awesome, high-energy, funky groovalicious show. If I hadn't already seen her, she would be a must-see for me.
I'm disappointed Frank is so late. It will really depend on my mood when I decide to go see him or Flaming Lips.
Yea, that conflict is the worst for me. And I hate bouncing around super crowded sets. I'd rather get up close and have a great view for one set than be on the outskirts of a tent without a good view/sound for 3 partial sets.

I feel you on that! I was mostly on the outskirts last year. The schedule was a lot more hectic for me. This year it seems like it will be a little more trying to decide whether to see some new faces or just get up close for my favorites.
It's definitely more worth it to get a good spot and see a whole set than to stand far away from the stage while strolling from tent to tent like a sheep.

My main conflicts: Thursday Cloud Nothings vs Cherub
Friday: Janelle Monae vs Naked and Famous Vampire Weekend vs CHVRCHES vs Neutral Milk Hotel (I will be seeing Vampire Weekend in May but they're one of my favorite bands, I would also love a sweet spot for Kanye. My gf hates Chvrches but I'm a fan. I know NMH may be hard to see after this) Superjam ? vs Disclosure (largely depends upon what this superjam turns out to be)
Saturday Cage the Elephant vs Grouplove vs Damon Albarn Skrillex Superjam vs Frank Ocean
I think a lot of us are in the VW - > Good spot for Kanye versus NMH struggle.
I love a lot of NMH's music, but is it going to be as much of an experience as Kanye? Or as much of a singalong as VW excluding In the Aeroplane/Two Headed Boy/Carrot Flowers? Can anyone who has seen Neutral Milk Hotel live on this tour say anything to how their show is?
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

Sunday Broken Bells vs Washed Out
Hopefully Skrillex superjam will go on long enough that you can check both that and Frank Ocean out. That's how I was with Pretty Lights and Animal Collective last year. I was able to stick around longer for Animal Collective because Pretty Lights played for so long.

I saw them at Mountain Oasis and it was my first and only time seeing them. I only had a brief knowledge of their work prior to that but had seen how excited most people were about the new shows coming. I was really impressed and loved the set but it wasn't very visual except for watching a few band members really get into it and stuff. It's a great show and they could possibly have more of a stage show at Roo/other festivals. I'm likely skipping them at Roo for the VW --> Kanye back to back though. Kanye and VW at Roo are two of my most anticipated sets

I dunno, it leads right into Zedd so I could see it ending when it's scheduled to end. I also want to see DARKSIDE over the other people playing during that time. The nice thing is it begins before Frank Ocean but I feel like Frank Ocean will draw a massive crowd, especially in a tent.

I saw NMH at Mountain Oasis as well and was seriously stunned at how good they were live. If you're looking for awesome lights or staging they will not be the right choice. That being said I'm a huge VW fan as well and haven't seen them since a Thursday night roo show in 2008. Seriously bad conflict for me, especially since I'll probably be over at What seeing J. Monae. Good luck, this one's a bitch!
Conflicts that I've encountered and, for the time being, resolved:
Vampire Weekend vs. Neutral Milk Hotel vs. Phoenix I vote NMH. This reunion is such a special thing, and their songs are so special (at least to me) that being part of their performance here will be an experience that I think may be once in a lifetime. Who knows they'll keep this thing going. My second choice would be Phoenix based on the sheer power and energy of their live show. But I have faith they'll appear at Bonnaroo in the future, so I can see them again. VW have some great ass songs, but I from what I've seen, their live show, while good, doesn't really get me super excited. And they'll tour and they'll be at every festival forever. So I'll get my chance. So after I see Janelle Monae blow my mind, I'll head over to the This tent and sing at the top of my lungs and probably cry.
Frank Ocean vs. Flaming Lips vs. Nick Cave Mr. Ocean is my choice. Flaming Lips tour like maniacs so I'll definitely get to see them. Since I've known about Frank, he hasn't come even close to hinting at a tour (However with a new album in the works, that may change, we'll see). Nick Cave only got added into the mix because people were raving about him and I did like his new album. But I think I'd rather wait until I'm more familiar with his work to see him. There has been mention of a possible Flaming Lips Beatles cover set though. And if it's announced that that's happening, I will have to forego Frank. Basically my running theme is "What won't I be able to see somewhere else?"
Bluegrass Superjam vs. Amos Lee vs. The Avett Brothers Nobody else has really mentioned this one but I thought I'd represent for the folkies. I'm going with the Superjam for the same reasons as my last two choices. It's a more unique opportunity. I've seen the Avetts a number of times and boy do they put on one hell of a show, but I can skip out this one time. Amos Lee had one of my favorite albums of last year and I'm bummed I'm missing him here, but I'd also rather see him doing his own show in a nice theater. He's one of those artists who I think would really benefit from the indoor acoustics (Of Monsters and Men are the same way. Festival set was good. Headlining indoor show was incredible)

Just wanted to let you know, I camped out at the Bluegrass shows last year and the superjam was basically Ed Helms and members of the acts that had been on the stage previously. Disappointing at that point, especially after the most awesome bluegrass superjam I've ever seen at Roo years earlier with Bela, S. Bush, etc. Hopefully they'll step it up this year.

Yeah I'd hope it's a little better than that. Although I don't think Lake Street Dive, The Lone Bellow, and Shovels & Rope sharing a stage would completely disappoint me

Frank Ocean vs The Flaming Lips I haven't seen either but I'm thinking Frank.. I don't know can you guys help me out? If I pick Frank I'm gonna try my best to get up close and if I pick FLips then I don't really mind which spot I get.

If you like both equally, you'll most likely have 10x more chances to see The FLips before you get a chance to see Frank again. Especially in a festival setting.

I totally saw the NMH conflict coming, so a saw them last month, so glad i didn't risk it.

Toughest conflict for me is Friday late night.
Disclosure > Skrillex OR Metal tent all night
The metal tent is a huge draw for me because I think a full LN of metal will be an incredible experience. I think Meshuggah especially will be crazy times, because it won't be a heavily attended show but enough insane people will be there to make it a lot of fun. I have seen Mastodon a handful of times and love them, saw Meshuggah once and loved it, an epic show I talk about all the time, and I have not seen Deafheaven, but I dig Sunbather.
Skrillex is a huge draw for me because I just can't get enough of the guy. I've seen him 6-7 times now, but I love the new record, and my favorite time seeing him was the last time he played LN Roo. I am positive I would have a super crazy high energy set. I'm sure I'll have many chances to see Skrillex again, but seeing him with a Bonnaroo crowd is just the freaking best. Plus I'm VIP so I should be able to get in the VIP pit, which is a bonus.
Disclosure is my #2 must see set after Kanye, but honestly I'm so convinced it will be impossibly crowded that I've just about written them off. Definitely not leaving Kanye early to get a spot.
This is a tough one for me. And I again just hope that Mastodon doesn't really start during Kanye, that would be a bummer. Sounds weird, but if I knew I could absolutely catch all of the LN metal tent shows I would be more inclined to just do that. Rather then catch the last half hour of Mastodon then Deafheaven then Meshuggah etc.
OF COURSE there is the Superjam ?. Could change my whole attitude around if that is super awesome.
But man just thinking about it I'm leaning more towards doing the LN metal. Bonnaroo will be doing EDM LNs until the kids sell their synthesizers and buy guitars, what are the chances of another metal block in LN in the future?

On Saturday I have two options.
A) Great spot for Damon, Lionel, and Jack. Damon and Jack are both top 5 for me.
B) Swing around like an animal from Bobby Womack > Damon > James Blake > Cut Copy > Jack White B2) take out Cut/Copy
I'm leaning towards B2. I could dead on sprint from Bobby to Damon. I'm thinking that show will not be very crowded especially with Cage and Grouplove at the same time. Then, I think James Blake is something I could see myself hanging out far away from and still enjoying, but then again I wasn't a fan of the other tent last year (my only year). I think I could get back to Jack in time for a pretty solid spot but it could be risky.
Also, Phoenix was in my Top 5 but there is a big drop off from Kanye to Phoenix. There isn't any way to see Phoenix and get a good spot for Kanye without hurting people is there?

Don't skip Cut Copy.
I think you'll be able to get a fine spot for Damon on the What, for the reasons you mentioned. I'm planning on doing the exact same thing, no worries here.

ahh you're killing me. I guess Jack with his bigger bands these days will translate fine even if I'm a bit far. But the new thing now becomes that I'll have a shit spot for Cut Copy after James Blake. CC are on the godawful Which Stage where the sound flat out sucks if I'm not in a decent spot. Blake may need to be cut short. That wouldn't be a huge sacrifice for me I guess.
I'm starting to think if I leave a couple songs early from Bobby that the pit is still a real possibility for Damon. That sprint is going to be fucking epic.
Tedeschi Trucks/Cake/DriveBy Truckers/Bouncing Souls. Dammit, just dammit. Any help?
I saw Cake a few weeks ago and they were fantastic! The lead singer tries to interact with the crowd a lot (which is something that you may or may not enjoy). They also had one of the clearest sounds I have ever heard at a live show. A buddy of mine saw Drive-By Truckers a few weeks ago and said they sounded fine, but there wasn't much energy. They played a ten song encore and he left at the seventh song.
