Major scheduling conflicts for me. Please help!!
Friday Do I choose NMH over Phoenix? I've seen half of Phoenix at Lolla and it was incredible. When they were on the Roo lineup, I was in heaven. Until this so called schedule dropped and broke my eclectic soul haha. I'm really digging Phoenix, but hearing anything off of "In the Aeroplane over the Sea" would be unreal.
How good are Chrvches live? Should I see a solid hour and then dip to NMH or Phoenix?
Am I really leaving Kanye early to get a good spot for disclosure? Disclosure was in my top 5 when the lineup dropped, but even though I just saw Kanye in Dec, how can I leave a Kanye set early? Advice?
For you eclectic music listeners out there: Skrillex or Die Antwoord? I mean Disclosure into Die Antwoord would be kinda cool right? Then go to to Chance. Then catch the end of Skrillex.
Saturday is ugly haha
Sam Smith(Newcomer that is impressive) vs Dr. dog(Established to put on a great live show) Advice?
I have my decision made on this one. Damon Albarn over Cage the Elephant, luckily CTE is playing Lolla. Still curious to see if I'm making right decision here.
Chromeo vs James Blake. James Blake is my number one act at Roo this year. He rarely tours, and I've seen countless live streams and he is impressive everytime. Now I finally get a chance to see him, but oh look at that: Chromeo is playing at the same time! Chromeo is upbeat. James Blake is chill, but I know all his music, and he's my number one. Still not an easy choice. Chromeo is playing Lolla too, but they may close grove, and I'm heavy on Kings of Leon that sun.
Darkside or Glitch Mob? I'm not a big EDM head, it's limited to Bassnectar,Big Gigantic, and Disclosure. However, I'm really digging glitch mob. Darkside is so trippy and while I don't take hard drugs, it would be an amazing experience to see Darkside at 2:30am.
Sunday
My only conflict this day is Arctic Monkeys vs Warpaint. Arctic Monkeys are a must see for me, because I'm seeing Eminem over arctic at Lolla. However, I love Warpaint. I was hoping they'd get a better slot than that.
Those are my conflicts. Who would you choose in these scenarios? Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For your first conflict the Phoenix vs NMH, Id go with NMH i mean this is their first and last tour in what 10 years. On their new tour they are amazing. Id say don't miss in unless you can catch them at another festival or on their tour.
The Kanye thing I'm wondering that too, I feel like if i skip out on the later half I'm going to miss some awesome surprises so can't help you on that one
If James Blake is your #1 then don't miss it duuu
Im all for Darkside, a friend of mine just saw them and said it was amazing, so I'm all for that show
And Arctic monkeys is my second must see so I'm just trying to persuade everyone to go to that set Also check out the Arctic Monkeys set at Glastonbury last year, that might sway your decision

Awesome thanks man. I really don't wanna be in the way back for disclosure, and I don't wanna leave Kanye early to get a good spot for disclosure. I'll figure that out eventually.
Biggest conflict is Animals As Leaders at the same time as Neutral Milk Hotel, it makes sense(totally different fan base) I haven't seen either, but NMH is coming to louisville later this year, so.....
How good are Chrvches live? Should I see a solid hour and then dip to NMH or Phoenix?
I'm still deciding what to do about the NMH conflict, but I would skip CHVRCHES. I was into them at first, but I didn't care for them at all on the Coachella stream. IMHO everyone in that time slot - including A Tribe Called Red - would be preferable to CHVRCHES.

But seriously, i need help on either side of Kanye's set time.
Do I bother with Phoenix who I've heard is awesome live but will give me a crappy spot for Kanye? And do I leave Kanye early at all (even just missing Bound 2) to try and sneak into the Disclosure free for all?
I've accepted Chromeo over James Blake. But I'm worried about seeing Darkside because I feel that 75% of the Nick Cave crowd will just stay at that tent. I don't hate Glitch Mob. Would I be better served with an amazing spot for Glitch Mob or a bad spot for Darkside?

The walk from the What to the Other during a headliner is so slow that if you left the What field at the start of the encore you would be at the What/Which ditch as the concert was ending.

I think you are right about the nick cave crowd staying for darkside.
I'm planning on getting a really good spot for nick cave, darkside isn't really a must see for me but with the stuff it's up against I really don't see a reason to leave if I have a good spot and like you I'm assuming a good portion of the nick cave crowd will be in the same mind set.

LN is brutal this year. I love Mastodon but you never know what the end of Kanye's set will be like; probably going to decide in the moment. Definitely taking the partial set tour from Mastodon to Ice Cube to Disclosure to Deafheaven to Die Antwoord to Skrillex or Meshuggah. Very interested in the mystery superjam, but it's at the bottom of my priorities. I plan on seeing near equal parts of everything after Jack White besides Glitch Mob, going to figure out the order soon enough. Any ideas on who will play later than scheduled?
Amazing how this is the first time in 5 years everything I'm excited for is all at once, going to be one hell of a weekend. Daytime is pretty light, wanna catch Neal Brennan and Hannibal Buress in the comedy tent. Usually like a movie in the early afternoon.

My only conflicts are Chvrches/WV (this one sucks) What I'm thinking is, since Kanye is my #1, I guess I will just stand in the pit line for Ye all day. I really hate missing Chvrvhes I love them and VW equally but the pros outweigh the cons I suppose. Chance/Skrillex I have been a Skrillex fan for years but Chance is really high on my must see list. I don't know what I'm going to do for this one. Lastly, Flaming Lips/Frank I'm leaning towards Frank not only because I just recently got into the FLips, but also CHANNEL orange is in my top 5 albums of all time. Hopefully, by the grace of the music festival gods, for some reason they change the schedule (a boy can dream, right?) so I don't have to miss anyone!

Do yourself a favor and see Vampire. You don't have to wait in the pit line all day. See Skrillex and Frank (problems solved).

Well last night I brought my conflict resolution issue to my wife.
I pointed out that Meshuggah is playing at 2 in the morning after Mastodon and Deafheaven, and she looked genuinely concerned. "Baby, you can't go see Meshuggah at 2 in the morning at Bonnaroo. I'd be so worried."
The first concert we went to together when we started dating was Ministry with Meshuggah opening, so she is fully aware of the destruction Meshuggah brings.

Maybe its because of the metal tent, but late nights feel more intense than usual this year. Metal, a double serving of Skrillex, Ice Cube, Nick Cave, Darkside, Glitch Mob, Die Antwoord, new creepy Flaming Lips. Bonnaroo is not fucking around with late nights this year.

Agreed. Although we can all rend our garments and despair at the conflicts, the truth is Bonnaroo made excellent LN picks for this year. I really can't take any issue with the acts they chose.

I predict more people than usual losing their shit on too much acid. Nick Cave, creepy Flaming Lips, lots of metal...any of these could take you over edge into freaked-the-fuck-out land.

My only real conflict is Dr Dog or Sam Smith. I like Dr Dog more, but going to Sam Smith would mean I have a good spot for Danny Brown. Has anyone seen either live? Opinions?

Suddenly I want Nick Cave to narrate an acid trip. Strange.

Dr. Dog is a good, but safe show.
what'd you get banned for this time, brog?

Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
I'm somewhat shocked by any Kanye fan that would even consider leaving his set early for Disclosure.
Well when you put it like that...
I dunno. Kanye is my number one. But having a good spot for late night sets is also important to me. What will likely happen is I'll try and sprint from the What Stage just as Bound 2 is finishing up to try and beat all the people still cheering. I dunno how good that'll work out, but its worth a shot.

And for the seekers, those who have spoken to the dancing entities, read the runes on the light gate, passed through the screaming wall and crossed the death-void... there's simply joy in the late night lineup. Twisting, mischievous, sinister, alluring and thought-provoking. A rattle-tag of of morose and the maligned, a veritable jazz concert at the gates of oblivion. The only think missing is some good-ol' Swans, who, of all the performances last year, came the closest to creating the sonic equivalent of a brain in a blender in a confession booth.
But what is music, if not something that makes you genuinely concerned you've been somehow changed by it?

Dude, If you're anything like me there is a sizable dropoff from Kanye to your #2. I bought my ticket largely because of him. Disclosure had a cool album last year but I mean what the hell ever. Those acts pop up every year at festivals. This is Kanye. You should be at his entire set without a worry of what is going on anywhere else on the farm.

Now if you've seen Kanye before, shut me up.
Nah, you're cool. And largely right.
I'm the only one in my group who cares about Kanye at all, and I was kind of looking to compromise without thinking about it. But I can't really argue with you. haha. I'm already going to be at What Stage for Janelle Monae and Vampire Weekend before him, I might as well make the most of my time there to get as close as possible. Alright, you won me over. I'm ashamed you even had to in the first place.
