I predict more people than usual losing their shit on too much acid. Nick Cave, creepy Flaming Lips, lots of metal...any of these could take you over edge into freaked-the-fuck-out land.
And for the seekers, those who have spoken to the dancing entities, read the runes on the light gate, passed through the screaming wall and crossed the death-void... there's simply joy in the late night lineup. Twisting, mischievous, sinister, alluring and thought-provoking. A rattle-tag of of morose and the maligned, a veritable jazz concert at the gates of oblivion. The only think missing is some good-ol' Swans, who, of all the performances last year, came the closest to creating the sonic equivalent of a brain in a blender in a confession booth.
But what is music, if not something that makes you genuinely concerned you've been somehow changed by it?

I wish we could set up some sort of crowd surf style conveyor belt that would take all of us Kanye/Disclosure fans from the What Stage all the way to the Other tent. I plan on upsetting lots of blanket people on my sprint over.
Watch Die Antwoord close out their stage or go catch the opening of Chance the Rapper
Danny Brown vs. Umphreys McGee
Pretty sure I'll be at Frank and Danny but i don't know what to do about the other one.
I've heard Die Antwoord puts on one hell of a show! Anytime they have a show near me, it's sold out! I'm trying to get close for them. I think they will close out the stage with a bang.

Anybody get the feeling that they are tweaking the schedule slightly. If that was the final schedule, why waste suspense and not just drop it.
There might be some tweaks, but they also need to put together the Cafe acts, comedy, cinema tent, etc. I think that all comes out at the same time.
I'm hoping some of the LN acts that currently overlap (mastodon and kanye) don't actually overlap on the final schedule, but it actually makes sense for Roo to do this. Should make the What field exodus after the headliner less crowded and safer.

I've basically worked out the details for everything except the 8:00 to 10:30 on Saturday. Do I go to Lionel Richie and see the end of his set and run to Cut/Copy or do I see the full Cut/Copy show? I'm leaning towards seeing Lionel because I've seen Cut/Copy live and I'll probably never see Lionel if I don't at Roo. Should I go with what I know and love or should I branch out and see a show I'll probably never see? Ahhhh this is so frustrating.
Man Saturday is the worst conflict day ever.........
Soooo... I've never gone pit for a headliner, how late do y'all think I could show up to get pit for Jack White because he's my #1 show or will it even be worth it to have a spot in the back of the pit (cause I'm short) and should I just try to get a good spot a little back from the pit?
Man Saturday is the worst conflict day ever.........
Saturday, all day, is terrible. For me, Cake wins out over Bobby Womack, and that is where the easy decisions stop.
I've got Damon Albarn vs Cage the Elephant vs Grouplove. All of which overlaps a little with my Chromeo vs Phosphorescent vs Slightly Stoopid conflict. Which then turns into my Cut/Copy vs Lauryn Hill vs James Blake conflict. Then I have my 2 hour nap during JW just to wake up to Frank Ocean vs Nick Cave vs Superjam. Then I get to end with Kaskade vs Glitch Mob vs Darkside vs Zedd.
It's terrible. Beginning to end, awful. Right now I'm leaning towards: -Cake -Damon Albarn -Chromeo or Phosphorescent (still undecided here, I've seen Chromeo but they're just so good live...) - Lauryn Hill
LN: -Frank Ocean -Kaskade, then hopefully at least one of the others will still be going and I can catch the end of one of their sets.

God damn cory's beard for showing me Kins. What do I do Thursday night now? Pusha T or Kins. Pusha will definitely put on a good show, but Kins music is so good.

With the cafe/club bands, there's a chance that they may have a 2nd or 3rd set on the Sonic Stage or the Ford Tent or something like that. Maybe they'll get the same treatment come schedule time.
I'm gonna leave the Superjams out of this for now, even though they could make this year a lot tougher for me.
Banks vs. Polica - These are my two most anticipated Thursday sets. Not a huge conflict, figure that I'm just gonna stay for all of Banks and get a crap spot for Polica and suck it up.
Friday Night - Seriously, this is such a huge mess for me. My current plan is going to be to see all of Neutral Milk, then move over to What for Kanye. I would also love to see some of Phoenix's set though, which I might do if I can't get into NMH. Planning on my Kanye spot being awful, but what do I do from there? Might just post up near the ditch and be ready to bolt over to Disclosure, because I can't miss that set and it's going to be the most overcrowded tent of the weekend. I spent all of my last Disclosure show holding an obnoxiously large coat with one hand so I'm ready to dance my booty off this time.
First Aid Kit vs. Typhoon - Legitimately the only two bands I care about between Friday and Saturday afternoons and they're at the same time......probably gonna go Typhoon, they've got more energy, and I think it'll be a better Roo show.
Flaming Lips vs. Frank Ocean - Not too much of a conflict, seeing as I don't think the Flips set will be as good as 2010's. Also, I absolutely love Frankie O. and I doubt he'll ever play in Florida. Actually this isn't a conflict.
Warpaint vs. Ferg - Do I wanna see some titties, or do I really wanna see some titties?
I can prob see Avetts again, even in the near future, but going with Avetts gives me better positioning for Elton. Little Dragon has become a new love which I'd really, really like to see. But I risk not getting a good spot for Elton.... Elton is my #1 priority this year and really want a good spot, but I really want to see Little Dragon.
Last year I did the bluegrass superjam then went over to Petty and got an okay spot, but I'd like a better one this year.
This is currently my most concerning conflict, but I have many others I'm still sorting out my feelings on.....

The last 2 years the crowds for the Sunday headliner weren't very hard to navigate. I think more people will stick around for Elton, but a lot of people just can't stay for Sunday night.
I'm somewhat shocked by any Kanye fan that would even consider leaving his set early for Disclosure.
Well when you put it like that...
I dunno. Kanye is my number one. But having a good spot for late night sets is also important to me. What will likely happen is I'll try and sprint from the What Stage just as Bound 2 is finishing up to try and beat all the people still cheering. I dunno how good that'll work out, but its worth a shot.
I'm with ya tyler_durden.. I like Kanye and all.. but I'm gonna do the same thing I did for Jay Z. I watched Jay from the back of the crowd, heard the songs I wanted to hear and then peaced out to get a great spot for Thievery Corp.
I'll be doing that for Kanye.. I'm gonna watch some of his set, but you can bet your ass I'll be posting up for that Disclosure show

You did exactly what I did for Jay Z/Thievery Corporation. Hopefully not too many people catch onto our strategy.

Sounds like a plan! Look for me, I'll be in my Spidey costume for Full Moon Friday the 13th hahah - unless it's really hot that night, then no I won't be in a Spidey suit

I've been thinking about a costume, I'll get back ta ya with my end results I'm thinking Ben Franklin tho

Seriously tho.. I don't get why everyone is giving Kanye so much love. He's a pompous asshole that thinks he's some musical god. And I get it, I really do.. he's a great performer and all, but for me personally, I'm just not that into his music. and I absolutely mean no offense to those who love Kanye - I respect your opinion - but yea.. Disclosure is gonna be where it's at Friday night.
Kanye will be a good "run back to camp, refuel - get back to centeroo - catch a few of his songs - and make it to Disclosure in time for a good spot" kinda set.. but that's just me folks

DO IT! I'm bringing a costume.. whether I find time to go back to camp in the evening and change or whether I feel like wearing one is just something I'll decide that evening.. Kanye's set will make for a good opportunity to change into costume

I'll probably keep it in my bag and change while waiting in the VW pit line
James Blake, he is more rare to see. Also I was a little disappointed in Cut Copy at Mtn Oasis last year. Love their music but the live show was just solid nothing mind blowing like inforoo makes it out to be.
Wayne Coyne is a racist asshole. Hopefully, that helps some peoples' conflicts
It did for me. The shit with their drummer and the shit with Erykah Badu have stopped me from even considering seeing them. But if they announce they're going to do a set of just Beatles covers...
