Not terrible but they're not batting hard for my dollar. Almost nothing as far as r&b and pop go
Really bummed about D'angelo. And i feel ?uestlove should be there every year. The funk is severely lacking as well. I've given up on them getting a decent reggae act
They had Jimmy Cliff a few years ago. What more can they do for a decent reggae act? I kid. I'm hoping for some funk in the additions as well as some more hip hop. They knocked it out of the park with the bluegrass bookings if nothing else and did good with the psych and metal.
It's a solid lineup and I know I will have a good time but when you're expecting names like Modest Mouse, Weezer, The Decemberists, Ryan Adams, Tame Impala, The Weeknd, Alt J, Fka twigs, future islands, Ratatat, hot chip and the fact you got trolled with Primus and Jimmy Fallon and the Roots it's hard to not feel a little let down. But I know I will have fun. I am just shocked by how highly billed some acts are. Give me a few minutes and I will accept it.
Feel very much the same. Also throw in the fact that last year I felt like we got everything plus more than I expected, just a little let down. But I know deep down that this is a really solid lineup and its still going to be amazing as always
Brownout. Forgot about them being on this lineup. I've seen them play around Austin a few times and they bring the funk. Haven't heard them do Sabbath yet.
A few things: 1. There is no blue check mark next to their name which usually signifies it as an official twitter. 2. They have like 500 followers 3. Primus isn't on the lineup

I'm curious and kind of scared what kind of people will be on the farm this year since we have acts like bassnectar, G Eazy, mixing with artists like Slayer and Against me. Haha

I'm probably the biggest Deadmau5 fan on this forum but I'll be the first to admit I thought I'd never see the day his name appeared on a poster as a headliner, especially this soon. Yikes.

This lineup is absolute pond scum if I've ever seen one. I still plan to go because Bonnaroo is such a great atmosphere, but this is awful.
Alabama Shakes in the top 10? They have one album! Hozier at 11 with only one album as well. Childish Gambino for 3 out of the last 5 year's and Kendrick Lamar for 3 of the last 4. Ed Helms 3 years straight?!
How did Robert Plant somehow get bigger since 2011 but MMJ didn't? I seen his last Bonnaroo show and it was very boring with no energy. Where's Modest Mouse, Lana Del Rey, St. Vincent and London Grammar??

Pretty hyped on the lineup billy joel is going to be awesome for the singalong.
I was pissed mumford cancled in 2013 so glad they'll be back!
if Kendricks single i is any indication of his coming album its going to be straight fire.
i can take or leave deadmau5,
Alabama shakes and childish killed it in 12 so i will for sure see them again.
always wanted to see bassnecter i'm sure that shows ganna be outrageously fun.
twenty one pilots has a better time slot they have a ton of energy live and are so much fun to see .
ben folds and spoon will be fun throw backs
if you get nothing from this GO SEE SHAKEY GRAVES he will knock youur socks off! houndmouth is amazing saw them open for drive by truckers and they stole the show.
so many good bands I can't believe people think this is a dwon year probably my favorite lineup ever as an all around work ( been going since '12)
The more I look at it, the uglier it gets. I still may go just because I was sad to miss last year and I don't have to travel far, but I would also feel like a bit of a chump paying $400 for this lineup in its current form.
Don't be surprised to see them throw something else in This Tent like they did with Pres. Hall Jazz Band in '13.
But that was a make up for Preservation hall getting bumped earlier in the day for whatever reason. Same with Bootsy Collins during Eminem. I pictured a Beastie Boys/Phish type scenario when insider dropped the top 4. Neither was completely unoppossed, but only for about 15 minutes i think. Kendrick into Deadmau5 with a which stage act cutting in

Still I like almost everything after the first line
There is actually some decent funk at first glance. I'm not sure what you were expecting other than the three bands you listed but Atomic Bomb, EW&F, Jungle and Gramatik are all pretty funky in my book.
With as big as EDM is now, it was only a matter if time before it found it's way into headlining slots. You people if anything should be thankful they didn't toss Avicii or Calvin Harris up there (speaking of which, not one cheese EDM act on the lineup)
