So are we denying that there is white people music or you saying that's not what TVOTR does?
Haha. I wouldn't classify their sound as "white people music." I just don't categorize music that way. I listened to All Them Witches do a cover of Albert King earlier and did not think, "Hey, they're playing black people music."

I mean, you did comment that they needed the token black act. You were right. It's a very white festival.

Probably the whitest multi-genre fest. But I was simply trying to improve your mock. I liked what Shaky Knees offered up last year. Didn't mean to derail this thread.
Hope the they're in the same price range as last year. $125 for a 3-day would be magical
no problemo. I totally agree. After last year's lineup being so good, despite it being a generally down year for festivals, they've earned my trust. If the initial prices are 150 or lower, I'm going to buy them right away. All other festivals, I'm going to wait for the lineups to come out to make a decision.

Now we just have to keep hope for The Cure alive until January !

I know the style doesn't really match compared to previous lineups, but the tour dates make Umphrey McGee's seem somewhat likely. They're playing all over the U.S. in the next five months, except for GA and FL. I could see them playing SK and Big Guava. They already have shows scheduled up until late April.

I could definitely see that happening. While they don't really fit the typical Shaky Knees style, they don't seem like a HUGE stretch.
I know this is a stretch but do y'all think that they could possibly bump Animal Collective up to headliner? (Like Tame last year) I think that'd be a reach, but I could definitely see them pre-headlining like Ride
EDIT: Sang is right, they're definitely more likely for Counterpoint

Counterpoint.
I thought that at first, but they played Counterpoint last year.

Sorry, dude. It looks like Shaky Knees is out, but they did add more cities/dates to their tour schedule. Here's hoping they hit a city near you.
They play Atlanta on June 24th. Tix go on sale this Friday. Hell yes.
I was just about to post this, it is saddening but I can live with it because the closest show to me is Miami and it's their final show in the US. oh well.
So, another group that I'm hoping for is Lilys. A friend of mine just came home from NYC to visit and he was telling me that they recently did some shows in Brooklyn. So, they perfectly fit Shaky Knees style, it just depends on whether or not they are going to do anymore shows.... I'd be ecstatic

Shaky Knees is moving to Centennial Olympic Park. Lineup coming in January, with Early Bird tickets on sale in early December.
They are also launching a new festival, Shaky Beats (featuring a predominately electronic music lineup sprinkled with some indie and hip-hop) the next week in the same location. Lineup in early December.

This works out well for me! The hotel I booked is literally just down the street so that's pretty sweet.
Presumably a bigger venue equals a bigger lineup #captainobvious
I like Centennial for events, but it can't handle rain at all and now there will be 3 fests there inside a month...it was a complete mud pit after one night of 420 last year.
