The Draconids are peaking tomorrow, Friday October 7, with the Slooh community observatory doing a special broadcast live at 8pm EDT (1am BST Saturday). They can be best seen in the Northern Hemisphere from after sunset to midnight, when Draco is at its highest point in the sky.
That was crazy good. Yannis was standing right in front of me during his crowd visit at the end of "What Went Down"
Moody Theater is wonderful. Would love to get back for another taping some point down the road
Were you the one jumping up n down the whole time? Becuz I have made respect. I was up in the balcony losin my shit.
Nah man, those people were right in front of me though.
This might sound dumb to the people who have gone to multiple tapings, but I was a bit surprised to discover there wasn't a rail separating the front row from where the cameras are in front of the stage. Only when Yannis came into the crowd at the end of "What Went Down" did I figure out the lack of rail
I actually didn't know that. I'm sure those cameras cost more than my life.
After the show, these two dudes were convince Thom Yorke and Flying Lotus are going to have a secret pop-up DJ set somewhere and kept asking what bar it would be at. I told em Continental Club LOL. If they do anything it'll be at some private house thousands of people CAN'T get to them.
Hypothetically, if they WERE to do a pop-up show, where could that be handled that would have a sizeable area but also off the beaten path. I imagined somewhere south of the river. They explained Thom is apparently a big fan of Bouldin Creek Cafe (as am I). Maybe Austin Beer Garden and Brewery?
Sekrit Theatre in East Austin would do well if it weren't under investigation.
In true definition of after hours? No. Kingdom, Barbarellas stay open til 4ish but stop serving at 150.
that broken down house without electricity doesnt exist for after hours anymore that we went to the first time I came out? that place was great.
LOL. I don't know what the hell that is anymore but it just sits there rotting with people occasionally doing something in it. $10 gets you for unlimited miller lite and garbage vodka mixer. But at 4am, let's go.
I ended up getting 2nd row from front rail under the right screen. Posted the vid of FTP +thm's bday thank you's on r/Radiohead. They're very happy i did that. It was such a beautiful set of songs in the perfect order given the situation in my life the past 2 weeks. I've never teared up at a show until last night.
