Only thing I'm really trying to figure out it Father John Misty/Death Cab for Cutie/Lettuce. Lettuce would probably be the most fun, but by Sunday usually I'm not trying to dance all that much. I've wanted to see DCFC for a while, but honestly my interest in them has waned over the past couple years, and they're playing at What and I'll be directly in the sun - same with FJM at Which. Right now I'm thinking I'll just play it by ear and mostly just tag along with whoever I'm with at the time. My main questions are - is DCFC boring live (I could see this being the case)? What are the odds of Josh Tillman impregnating me with his voice? Is Lettuce awesome enough live to go see them mostly for the shade, even though I'm not familiar with their music?
Lettuce is that awesome. But even they have their off days, I doubt this will be one of them though because when they played after Primus last year they killed it. Sadly I really want to see them but I've yet to see DCFC. I heard FJM put in a bad set at Gov Ball, daytime outside is not a good combo for him it seems. But I have no interest in him as it is. I'm probably gonna play it by ear myself. I might end up wandering over to lettuce if DCFC isn't cutting it.

I can't comment on Death Cab since I've never seen them live nor dug into their discography. I've never been a fan. That song Gibbard wrote for the recent Monkees album was sweet though and peaked my interest. I can promise Father John Misty will be fun. I've just seen him multiple times and it seems like Roo booked him a year late following I Love You Honeybear. I am going to see Sunflower Bean and catch the end of Lettuce. I've only seen Lettuce as the backing band in the Bonnaroo Hip Hop SuperJam and in my opinion they were the only thing holding that together. If you haven't seen FJM and are on the fence for whether or not he will be good, I suggest you go there. I guarantee you will enjoy yourself.

I saw FJM in the day at ACL and he was great. He had a few quips about the heat, but the performance was enthralling. That was a sweet spot on the rail, followed by Sturgill who I got to see his interaction with the band when they go into their jamming, and Modest Mouse. Sucks for all the Deadamu5 fans who were camped out there all day and hated all those bands. In my circle, they didn't think anyone was leaving before the Mau5 and wished Bassnetar had been on that stage instead of across the park. Several of us made a b line towards open field though after MM. Glad we could free up some space for those guys.

Here's a secret. The what pit is shaded in late afternoon sets. DCFC is good live if you are into them, though I dunno since chris Walla left. Like you, my interest in them has waned considerably in recent years.
Lettuce is a phenomenally talented group of musicians. If you like NOLA funk-jazz with tight horns you'll love it. Gonna be high energy and hard NOT to dance.
Id like to see FJM, but when I have conflicts, I go with the act not on which stage.
