Wild and needlessly cruel would be my thoughts on Prince’s views of homosexuality. But it also would be the same for anyone who considers it a sin, which is a big segment of the population.
kind of unfair to make that comparison considering i said that about someone who thinks that people like me should be eliminated from the gene pool. this is someone who supported an organization that thinks autistic people are a disease to be cured so obviously you can imagine how that would make me feel. its not “needlessly cruel”

Not to earnestly defend my joke too much but it seems Prince felt the exact same way if this quote attributed to him by the New Yorker is in fact true:
“When asked about his perspective on social issues — gay marriage, abortion — Prince tapped his Bible and said, ‘God came to earth and saw people sticking it wherever and doing it with whatever, and he just cleared it all out.'”
Fwiw, an "insider" later told Rolling Stone this was false and Prince was mad about it.

But enough about the problematic views Prince adopted after he forgot the funk.
