just checked the ten day forecast for manchester. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday there is a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms. Sunday and Monday there is a 60% chance of isolated thunderstorms. Just thought you all would be interested in knowing if you didn't already. definitely affects my packing list!
this is my first year going to roo, but i would definitely bring extra socks, some sort of hat, pants, and a long sleeve shirt. If it rains it will probably be cooler at night. i have a ton of those cheap plastic ponchos (88 cents at Walmart and Target) which are great rain covers and work really well to sit on too. i have got to get some good rain shoes. didn't think about that.
Jeans Socks - more than I originally was bringing Extra set of cheap shoes (fake Rocket Dogs) Golashes - they are so ugly, girls, I'm embarrassed to bring them, but they are coming Lots of Target/WalMart sacks (mainly to keep wet tie-dye clothes away from non-colorful stuff) A whole box of quart-size ziplock baggies Six cheap ponchos, one heavy-duty poncho three hats two hoodies all my extra tarps Umbrella
Ugh, I really hope it doesn't rain because it really stresses me out, but I'll try and be as prepared as I can be and just keep as much stuff in the car as much as possible.
Definitely a good idea to bring the walmart bags, I'll be packing a whole slew of them for different things.... I also made myself a heav duty tote out of walmart bags... its a woven bag of about 18inches by 11 inches. I love it, ugly, but fun and SO great.
I'll be bringing a small umbrella for both sun and rain, but not sure if I'll actually use it much at all... I should swing by my house and get that pink frilly parasol....
Hey all, go to my friends cottage for a two day stay and 2 more pages on girly thread to read!! Yikes you gals type fast! Well got one bag packed so far for Roo. Its just to flashlights, batteries, etc, shampoo, conditioner. and now I really want to check out in the garage for an old hose. Will cut it off and use it at Roo. What a great idea! I've got loads of sunscreen because hubby burns to a crisp. I even bought at Giant Tiget today great big velour Canada Top hats and one Canada Jester hat which I'll wear.
I should be expecting my friend any day now and I'm bummed about that.....
Hmm what else..... Oh yeah! I got Croc Thongs because I had bought the celery coloured clogs and they gave me wicked blisters. Aww i had like 10 jibbitz too on them. Totally bummed but the flip flop ones are great!
I was planning on only bringing one pair of long pants (Actually overalls) will that suffice? Remember gals, I'm from Canada and cooler weather dosen't bother me.
I'd bring a couple pair of pants, just in case you get wet, then you have extra. I'm not gonna bring denim, i have some cute capris made of a linenesque type of material and then I'm bringing flannel PJ bottoms (these will be referred to as plaidy from here on out) Plaidy pants are perfect because they're not heavy and at the same time exceedingly warm and comfy.
If you develop a blister at 'roo, put a band-aid on it and then put a peice of duct tape over that, more secure and water resistant.
kewl Alyroo. The duct tape is something we are definitely bringing. I can't wait to leave Wednesday Morning! woohooo I definitely don't want to pack to much clothing. The women at this conference lastweek were calling me Ivana.....

just a quick suggestion. for all of you wondering about shaving with lotion or conditioner there is a product out from Method that is killer! It's called Method Bloq and it is shave cream. They have different scents my favorite is beach sage and it doesn't seem to clog my razor at all. It actually seems to have prolong the life of my razor. You can get it at most Target stores. I live by all of their products they make my life smell better!! www.peopleagainstdirty.com I think it's 5 or 6 bucks at target. have a great day!
Gonna throw in a pair of jeans just in case, but more than likely I'm not going to care. my knee-length skirts will be much less likely to get messed up in the mud than my jeans. I added my born black boots to the list incase it's a mud pit. They aren't waterproof but at least will keep me out of the mud.
As of right now on weather.com and accuweather they're holding the thunderstorms off until the Monday after Bonnaroo. I really really really hope that weather pattern holds. It stays in the 80's too.
My fingers are crossed. Either way, we should all have a great time. Just maybe spend more time watching the tent shows.

I am going to shave Wednesday before I leave and bring a razor just in case for the underarms. I have some of that Veet stuff that I thought about bringing for the legs, but I've been wearing pants and haven't shaved in like almost 3 weeks hoping that when I do on Wednesday the hair won't grow back quite as fast.
The conditioner idea is a good idea though... might decide to try that instead.. hrm..
I got my Kariza skirt today. Looks pretty good, but maybe like they had to repair part of one layer when they were making the skirt, but the thing they used to patch it up is still cute. . I can't wait to go home and figure out the different ways to tie it that work for me. And even more excited that it got here so quickly! Go USPS!

the only problem is I had to take it off. I couldn't resist trying to find new ways to wear it. I'd sit for 10 mins, then get up to try something else.
Mega thank you to whoever mentioned the skirts in the first place!

I need to find a good place to get a floppy hat. Any suggestions?
...the inimitable manchester walmart?
back to menstrual matters: anyone have experience using gladrags / the keeper / the diva cup at festivals? (if those terms are unfamiliar, i HIGHLY recommend looking them up. a regular ol google search should do the trick.)

OK, I have started packing....and even by MY standards I have realized I am going to end up with WAAYY too many clothes!!! I went way overboard on the shopping sprees! (too many pretty things!)....anyone else going to end up with way more clothes than they could ever possibly wear? ;D
And heck yea I am bringing them all! Never know what mood I will be in.....if I don't wear them, maybe one of my friends will! Community closet!
