Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
i took the plunge into Croc Land last year after resisting since the beginning, and they were a lifesaver at ROO and now i own two pairs... my hunter green crocs & a pair of Chicago Bears crocs.... DAAA BEARS!
Give in... you won't regreat it... they are incredibly light and easy to wear, good for dirt, rocks, mud, water, whatever....
Ugh. I just can't get past the mannish look of Tevas (sorry, don't mean to insult anyone here). Not that Crocs are especially feminine, but I like the idea of a closed toe.
I need some resources for loose, longish sundresses. Help a girl out!
I wear leather over-the-ankle hiking boots with SmartWool socks all weekend. Never had any problems with mud, glass, terrain, or the heat. Plus I have hella-weak ankles, so Crocs or sandals would leave me useless by Saturday.
I just can't bring myself to wear crocs, and so far i haven't had a problem with my flip flops, though I'm wondering...
Has anyone here worn rubber/wellies boots to 'roo? I'm guessing they'd be ideal if there were rain, but I'm wondering how they would work in general?
I see that many people wear them to the UK festivals, but obviously weather conditions aren't the same
I've worn those to JazzFest after heavy rains...they are a lifesaver. Yes, they're hot. But you can take 'em off when you sit or whatever and give your dogs a breather.
I have seen people in wellies at Bonnaroo...they seem effective for keeping the mud/dust off of you, but personally, in 100 degree heat I don't want half my legs encased in rubber. BUT they do work extremely well during rain...I'm thinking of picking up a pair "just in case" for next year.
yeah, I was concerned about the heat too, they had some simple black wellies at walmart last year for 15$, maybe i'll get a pair (for rain) and try them out on a sunny day and see how it goes!
I got the shorter boots that hit right at the bottom of the calves. They kept my feet clean in times of mud and rain, but they were definitely *ahem* warm. I threw flip flops in my backpack to wear once we hit our destination.
Keen Venice H2's, I've worn them at roo and on numerous hikes through the Rockies, the H2's are made from a fast drying waterproof material, very comfortable, toes are protected. great sandal/shoes.

My crocs were broken in already from my first year of college. Its a big nono going into the guys showers in a dorm with no shoes. My feet still got a little sore but nothing i could not handle. They mainly made my toe sore but because of the odd shape of my toes just about every shoe makes them sore. I doubt gold bond will help much for soreness. But it does help on the berries! I could not have survived the heat at Roo without my crocs and gold bond!

The thought of buying, much less wearing, crocs brings a hollow feeling to my soul. I pretty much wear my chacos year round but if the general consensus is that crocs work the best then I may just do it. Maybe I can find some cool ones.
For all your 'Roo'ers out there still wondering what to put on your feet, or just looking for new ideads...I HAVE GOT YOUR ANSWER!!
Go out and find yourself a pair of "Sanuk" brand, "Sidewalk Surfer" style sandal/shoe hybrids. www.sanuk.com/ They come in a bunch of different models, run about $55 a pair and they are by FAR the best 'Roo shoe I have ever come across!
They're super durable, comfier than Crocs, they dry quick if you get them wet, they dont blister, they're well ventilated so you dont get swamp foot, and they stay on your foot as well as a Teva or pretty much anything else. Honestly i can't say enough about them! I was in the market for something new before 'Roo last year when I stumbled across these in the local surf shop while looking at R-bows - best thing that ever happened to my feet!!

I'm at school, and I can't download adobe flash to view the site, but I'll check out the sanuks when I get home. I have heard good things about them though.
It's just hard for a broke, college kid like me to buy $40-$80 shoes that are JUST for roo.. I would love to find something that won't get too dirty and will be an investment in my closet for the whole year.. not something stashed in the back that only gets taken out for concerts!
But I have had a pair of off brand crocs before, and I'm digging the mary jane type they have. So I've come to the conclusion that while at bonnaroo, your crocs match every outfit you'll wear, haha.
