I'd like to see Ween, Flaming Lips, Buckethead, Fatboy Slim (would never happen), Mars Volta, Ben Harper, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam. I think the Flaming Lips will added, a good chance for Harper, probably a cheese or keller or both addition. And the Volta have nothing going during Roo so theres always a good chance.

nuts... that's only 9
u can add STS9 to that list.
STS9 would be a great addition. The Roo line-up is looking for diversity, well they are lacking in the trancy jam genre. bring on some STS9, maybe some Particle, or some Pnuma Trio

I think that Fatboy is more likely than Orbital since Orbital is broken up now and Fatboy is doing another beach set this year in England. Underworld would be amazing as well, but very unlikely. I hope that you are right with the Lips, their new cd is not as good as Yoshimi (so far) but it definitely is interesting. But their new cd does have alot of interesting production to it that I would like to see live.

I am glad you share my hopes atl3103. But if the Flaming Lips do get added, and this is just a recommendation, you might want to get a little more updated on their music. Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots was released in 2002. Great album don't get me wrong, but they have released much more since then and will be releasing At War With The Mystics in April. Doubtful they will play too much of their old material. You should update your Lips library

Trust me, I have plenty of their albums (I think Soft Bulletin is the best). I was just comparing their new album (At War with the Mystics) to the one before that one. I have the fight test ep and late night tales, dont really know of anything else they released since 2002 (other than 5.0 versions of their previous two albums and the amazing Fearless Freaks documentary). Just wondering what other stuff they have since Yoshimi. I thought I was pretty on top of my game with the lips, but maybe I have been in a time warp and missed a year or two.
By the way, Mr. Lif is a solid hip-hop artist that is on the Def Jux label with El-P and RJD2.
And I second a Dangerdoom or DangerMouse or MF Doom recommendation. Dangermouse was money in the bucket two years ago.

Nah brah, you're right on top of things! They haven't released an album since Yoshimi. Outside of the EPs (which are hardly anything to write home about) and the reissues, there haven't been any proper releases since YBTPR. ;D

I really think that The Flaming Lips are going to be added. They have a new cd coming out, plus the rumors of the tour with Sonic Youth, it would just make sense if they were added. Plus, the only dates they have scheduled around that time are a week later in Europe.
I also think that Ben Harper is eventually going to be added. He has almost a 2 week break in between tour dates when Bonnaroo is going on, and he would have plenty of time to get to Europe for the start of his tour on June 22.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

I've seen Wilco mentioned a lot, and I'm hoping for them, but I see one problem. Ahem. Let me begin:
Once upon a time, Jeff Tweedy (Wilco leadsinger) was in a band with Jay Farrar (Son Volt leadsinger) called Uncle Tupelo. Long story short, they had a falling out and still aren't on speaking terms, to my knowledge. Now, here's the problem: Son Volt is going to be at Bonnaroo.
Honestly, I just can't see them both choosing to play the same festival. =/ It might cause some unwanted tension.
Ahem. Anyway, with that little moment of music history out of the way, here are a few more bands I'd like to see: Serena Maneesh The Raconteurs (Jack White's new side project/band. Since the White Stripes are somewhat out of the question, that'd be nice.) The Fiery Furnaces Nick Cave (One of my friends argued that he'd be out of place, but I think he'd do well with the Bonnaroo crowd.)
Oh, Iron & Wine and Jack Johnson too, but they've been mentioned a thousand times

I was just dreaming about Orbital. I had a chnace to dj on the same bill as them 3 times and they would be amazing but as you said they are no more. I have played with FatBoy and Underworld as well and I would see FatBoy being a better fit for Roo.

both bands were at wakarusa last year. in fact, jay was scheduled to also play solo, which made me think of a possible reunion. but then his solo slot was cancelled.
now i want to throw cold water on people......a lot of folks are talking arcade fire and nothing would make me happier. however, they are taking time off after touring almost non-stop for about a year and a half to relax and work on a new album. i know they were pretty burned out when they finished up. it's not out of the realm of possibility, but i can't see superfly paying them what would probably be big bucks to come play a one-off show. keeping my fingers crossed, but i think next year is more likely, when they will probably have the new album out.
What about Bob Dylan? I haven't seen him rumoured or anything, he just seems like a likely candidate and would make a great addition to this year's lineup. Has he played roo before?
Otherwise, my vote is for:
Flaming Lips DangerDoom (although he just cancelled his San Francisco show so I don't know what's up with that) Secret Machines Yeah Yeah Yeahs Sinead with Sly and Robbie
Or how about Madonna? I hear she's touring soon (just kidding!)
Flaming lips seem like a pretty good bet. I am holding out hope that Citizen Cope gets added, but I doubt it more and more. Pearl Jam...not likely but then again I said the same thing when I initially heard Beck, Radiohead and Tom Petty so we will see.

yeah for some reason I already thought Arcade Fire was playing this year and i was looking forward to catching them... must have been the initial list i guess
