jim o'rourke isn't in sonic youth anymore.
i know, i just thought it might give loose fur some incentive to play a special show, hang out with sonic youth, maybe play with them, etc.
i'm kinda surprised about lyrics born and blackalicious apparently being added soon. it feels like there's more rap and reggae this year than any other. rappers have some of the best attended sets, so it's good to see them responding to that.
^^^I'd love to see some drag city bands down at roo. Honestly, Silver Jews, Loose Fur, any combination of Will Oldham monikers, Smog, Six Organs of Admittance, Broadcast, Joanna Newsom, Stereolab...it's a great label AND a Tennessee label. I mean, they had fucking John Fahey on their label. Coolest label this side of Anti...
Speaking of Anti, does this mean I have to give up on seeing Tom Waits or Nick Cave for another year, because I think if Tom Waits got a late-night set at bonnaroo, it could very well be the highlight of the entire weekend.

Dudezer,
Silver Jews + Loose Fur + Stereolab + Will Oldham + Joanna Newsom (who, incidentally, played LAST year (damn! this festival needs some harp!)) = Best Festival Ever
I think Superfly and/or Coran Capshaw put together the lineup for the Radio City section of the New Orleans benefit show last September in NYC From The Big Apple to The Big Easy. Tom Waits was part of that lineup so we know that those two camps are in commuication and have done something in the past.

imagine the kind of cross pollination that lineup would generate...

I think steve kimock band, wich includes robert walters and john molo, would be amazing, especially for trey and steve to share sunday night with phil, like that old 99 warfield concert, where they did the phil and phriends wit trey, paige, phile and steve. good stuff

I would love to see Pearl Jam at Roo, I mean can you imagine how sick of a set they would have to offer for such all ill event as Bonnaroo. Of course i'm still hoping for a late Allman Bros add as well. As anyone can tell you thats been the last two years.... they ve been incredable, and Warren Haynes has put in some serious hours on stage in the past years....round four please just break out of your silence and reveal yourself.... thanks

Well they just announced that PJ is playing LA in July with Sonic Youth opening. So far that connects PJ to MMJ, Sonic Youth, and Tom Petty. All going to be at Bonnaroo. Pearl Jam would solidify this as my favorite Bonnaroo ever. BTW, a few songs from their new album have leaked and they're incredible.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
i agree wtih hoodooperator's prediction. herbie hancock wasnt announced till last minute last year and i dont think anyone on this board saw it comming. so who knows, mayhbe superfly will have something unexpected in store. maybe they will the the origonal lineup of KISS to preform? probably not, but i know ive got my Kiss Army memorabilia in my attick in case. provided adding KISS to the bill would be a joke everyone at the fest would get, except KISS themselves, but its all good, im juts think tankin outside the box at this point. anyone else got any far out artist addition predictions lets hear em?

Seeing as I need something to pass the time I'll make another prediction:
Pearl Jam Fiona Apple Damien Rice Lyrics Born/Blackalicious(since it's already on their myspace pages I expect them to be a part of the next announcement.)
