It would be cool if the Desert Sessions crew played. There have probably been about 20 people involved with DS to this point, so who knows whom this would actually entail, but their collaborative spirit would be a good fit at Bonnaroo. Extra special bonus if PJ Harvey was included!
Anybody know if they did they do Coachella last year? Seems like they might of.

They played in 2004 (no PJ unfortunately), and last year Eagles of Death Metal played, being introduced by one Danny DeVito.
But yeah, it would be cool if they were there (or QOTSA), and it would be even cooler if PJ came and also played on her own. I can't ever seem to get to see her live for some reason.
I would not mind Lindsey Buckingham at Roo. I know, I know, he is saddled with the Fleetwood Mac POP/Radio label. I saw Fleetwood Mac twice (without Christine) on their last tour. The man can flatout shred a guitar. Severly underated in my opinion.
I'd bet that Gruff Rhys is there this year. He's the lead singer for Super Furry Animals, for those that don't know. He was there last year, guesting with Bright Eyes. He's got a new album out, and I'm liking it quite a bit.
My wish list includes: Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians Rocco Deluca and the Burden Junior Brown Brian Wilson Robin Trower Jeff Beck and definatly Ratdog!

Edie Brickell's voice is amazing....she would be fantastic.

Has anyone mentioned Junior Boys yet? I just got their newest album, and they are fantastic.
Good call. Hard for me to see them playing at Bonnaroo though. Too much of a club act...
Definitely a thumbs up from me also.
While the odds are probably slim, I wouldn't say it's completely out of the question. After seeing them bring in Mouse on Mars for an afternoon set, I'm not going to count out any electronic based act anymore. They cover the bases for a Roo crowd: danceable, melodic, and able to create an atmosphere. Having never seen them live, I'm semi-unqualified to be speaking on this, but I've heard nothing but good things.
^^Yeah, it's sort of like Interpol though. The sound is very specific. I could see it working maybe at a late night show (perhaps Junior Boys, Lilly Allen and Girl Talk in one tent). But it's music filled with the kind of yearning and beats that you want to experience late at night when you're body is telling you to go to sleep but your heart's afraid you're going to miss something good.
Now that you mention it, am I the only one here who ends up falling alseep on the outskirts of one of the tents during the late night sets? I never want to go back to the site but I'm too damn tired to stand anymore so I end up falling asleep with a big ol' smile on my face. Of course, I inevitably end up getting kicked in the head by someone stumbling by!

Haha, cdevaney, I did that last year, Saturday night. I hated leaving 'cause it was the last night, and I loved just being near all the energy, so I found a spot not too in the way of traffic but not too out of the way that I felt safe going to sleep in public. I just laid down on my backpack watching people, then listening, then sleeping.
well i just realized Toots and the Maytals are on the langerado line up, would be cool to see them at bonnaroo, i know they have played before but i'd love to have em back
how about piers faccini. jambase had a thing about his us tour coming up. and hes got jack johnsons drummer, which i didnt realize. id like to see him at roo. hes been opening for ben harper, was opeining for amadou and mariam and has band memners that have played with harper. ben harper is on his new album as are some of the innocent criminals. also worth noting that on stops towards the end of the tour he is playing with matt costa, cold war kids and the wood bros.
