The anticipated, intriguing studio collaboration between Bruce Hornsby and Ricky Skaggs is now set for a March release. The pair are joined by Skaggs’ Kentucky Thunder on the disc, with Hornsby adding piano to the group’s classic bluegrass instrumentation. The eponymous release offers new original material, novel takes on such songs as Horsnby’s “A Night On The Town” and “Mandolin Rain,” as well as a cover of Rick James’ “Super Freak.” The artists will be touring together later this year, with an initial gig this coming Sunday at B.B King’s in New York City.

I don't know if any of you are into them, but Wolfmother would kick some serious behind as a late night show. Easily the most fun I've ever had at a concert when I saw them, they can truly get a crowd going nuts. It would never happen, but if they had a spot on the main stage before Pearl Jam I'd be ecstatic. I don't think they have a big enough following just yet, but they'll get there someday.
