i REALLY hope that they don't make us wait as long for our line-up as they have for coachella-goers. this is RIDICULOUS. saying that they're going to air it on a radio show just for more ratings and then not announcing it last minute? very uncool.
This happened with Bonnaroo, what a year or two ago, where some radio station in Atlanta claimed to have inside information and ended up coming up with no real lineup information. I think it turned out in that case that the radio station was changing format, so it was probably just a last ditch effort to boost ratings.
ok, maybe not the most cred. source, but perez hilton.com said yesterday that coachella organizers confirmed that bowie, daft punk and radiohead will NOT be there.

I was just about to say...Bonnaroo is apparently set to announce their initial lineup on monday/tuesday or something and the festival is not till June...Coachella is right around the corner and still no lineup??
is this normal for coachella to not announce anything within three months of the festie?
Is waiting until the last minute to sign bands for your lineup the new Cool Thing to do amongst fesitval promoters?
The difference between Bonnaroo and Coachella is that it seems Bonnaroo's headliners leak beforehand then you find out about the rest of the lineup later. Whereas everyone BUT the headliners leak with Coachella.

A couple of years ago (06 I believe) They did not announce it until January 31st.
Of course, the Fest was also about two weeks later that year.

yeah i always thought it was weird how bonnaroo fest is about two months after coachella fest but they always seem to release their lineups around the same time. They are two of the biggest fests in the country so my guess is they do it for competition's sake, even though they are on opposite ends of the country.

Singer David Bowie has denied rumours he is to resurrect his Ziggy Stardust alter ego.
It had been reported that the star was to revive the character for this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California.
But the 62-year-old's website has dismissed the claims, describing the story as "poppycock".
Bowie has been in semi-retirement since cutting short a 2004 world tour following a heart scare.
Newspapers and websites reported that the star would be performing his classic 1972 album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars in its entirety.
However, a statement on Bowie's website said: "I'm sure the majority of you saw this tale for what it was anyway - poppycock.
"However, we feel duty-bound to deny this particular story, lest members be fleeced of their hard-earned."
