Not bad. Don't know how I feel about Paul as a headliner (or The Killers for that matter) but the undercard is pretty hot! But I still don't think I would travel across country for that.
EDIT: I'm just happy the damn thing is out!

I may be in the minority, but I REALLY want to see the Killers at Roo. I saw them at Vegoose in '06 and they put on a hell of a good show. I'd also like the Silversun Pickups to be there too.

I only glanced at the lineup, I will comment on this later after work once there are about 9 new pages. I am not so big on the headliners at first glance. Knowing Coachella they have a couple more cards to throw at us though. Come on Roo, we will stomp them.

No, the killers suck live.
They are one of those bands that thinks if they play their music live just how it sounds on their record then that's enough.
I GUARANTEE that the Killers will NOT be headlining Saturday night of Coachella... They are not big enough AT ALL... They don't even play arenas... I know they're from Vegas and bigger out west, but there's NO WAY after Portishead and Prince last year that they let The Killers headline the main night of their festival... Just my two cents
And having Leonard Cohen is TIGHT

I for one think its a fabulous lineup and am totally eating my words when I predicted it would be worse than last year's. Saturday could definitely use another big name if The Killers & Amy Winehouse are the big two names on that day. However, the 3rd line on Saturday is worth the entire day for me.
The trend I've noticed since 2006 is that Bonnaroo & Coachella seem to rotate years with having the better lineup. This is merely my opinion.
2006 Bonnaroo took it 2007 Coachella 2008 Bonnaroo 2009 -- Bonnaroo has their work cut out for them

I agree. MBV has always been rumored over the last couple years as being a headliner if they played and they are 2nd behind The Cure this year. The way the economy is right now they want a safe bet to pull people in.

They did headline the Echo Project already too.. Much smaller festival...but i think its happening...
For ONCE I feel lucky to be on the east coast...as of right now
I jsut saw the line up on jambase and I gotta say, I have never had a desire to go to coachella until now, on first glance that is prob the best line up I have seen for any US fest in a long long time.

Looks "bottom-heavy" to me. Out of each day's top 3, the only ones I would want to see are Thievery Corp and YYYs. And it surprises me to see YYYs listed that high. After those it's pretty solid though, IMHO of course.
Wow. McCartney is a big get for Coachella. The lineup is pretty solid except for The Killers headling on Saturday, but I think we'll see a late addition. By the way, I am glad our board is nothing like it is over there. They are so harsh and critical.
As usual for Coachella amazing lineup. The headliners are not that great besides Mccartney but the undercard is fabulous as it always is. Not as good as last years but I def. wish that I could go.
gotta disagree with the killers not being good live. seen them a few times and always enjoyed them.
as far as coachella - here's what I like
Friday: Ghostland, Girl Talk, Mike Patton!!!, Paul McCartney (duh), silversun pickups, crystal method is okay..., black keys are supposed to be good - same for the Hold Steady
Saturday: Amy Winehouse?, band of horses, blitzen trapper (they should really be a roo), drive by truckers, fleet foxes!!!, Henry Rollins, the killers, thievery corp
Sunday: fucked up, okkervil, paolo nutini - he had an awesome set a roo a few years back, public enemy, the cure, throbbing gristle (award for most random addition to this lineup)
This line-up is pretty damn good. There is a big handful of acts I would like to see on almost every day.
Friday: McCartney, Morrissey, Cohen, Conor Oberst, Beirut, The Black Keys, Girl Talk, Ghostland Observatory, M. Ward, Peanut Butter Wolf
Saturday: Thievery Corp., TV On The Radio, Band of Horses, Fleet Foxes, MSTRKRFT, Micheal Franti and Spearhead, Atmosphere, Mastodon, Dr. Dog, Booker T and Drive By Truckers, Calexico, Blitzen Trapper
Sunday: The Cure, My Bloody Valentine, Throbbing Gristle, Lupe Fiasco, Peter Bjorn and John, X, Antony and The Johnsons, Public Enemy, Paolo Nutini, Okkervil River, K'Naan, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Gaslight Anthem
I'm really only excited about My Bloody Valentine, Leonard Cohen, Beirut and maybe Morrissey...have seen most everyone else (including Beirut and Morrissey), and those just aren't enough to get me out there.
