I could definitely see it being the mountain goats. They're definitely putting a new LP out this year in march so I could see them hitting the farm. That would be fantastic!

"Hey Peter Frampton! Do you like toast too? Yes, as do I. It is warm and crispy, and a perfect place for jelly to lay. Now stay the hell away from me Frampton, I ain’t got sh*t to say to you!"
What do you mean by goat reference? Not clear on what that means.
The clue is referring to goats in some way...nannies are female goats, kids are baby goats, so the fact that the clue used "kids" on the radio but "nannies" in the tweet implies that it's got something to do with goats...and Gary confirmed that.

Yeah, I wondered if maybe since the nanny and kid were already mentioned, maybe we're looking for something to do with a billy goat.
But since it seems to be plural I don't think it can be as simple as someone named Billy...especially since it would have to be a former Billy somehow. idk idk...
My first guess was Fleet Foxes. They use the Sun a lot (Sun Giant, Sun it Rises, etc.), they have a music video featuring them hanging out with goats (nanny nannies?), and also former nannies could be older foxey women. If you google persistence of sound there's an article about reverb, and since the band is from Seattle that could be a point in favor. Not to mention all of the hype about the band considering they haven't released anything in a few years. Probably wrong, but I was proud of myself.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

Yeah, there are plenty of awesome musical dudes named Billy, but we presumably need former Billies or former goats or something like that.....former and plural. So I don't think guys named Billy are too likely.

The band from back in the day called Billy Goat...shows were fun as hell and I have no idea what they are up to today
That was how I got to my Mike Dillon's Go-Go Jungle guess earlier...seems to be the most recent incarnation of Billy Goat. Or at least, it's Mike Dillon's most recent project, and involves some other former Billy Goat members.

I still like the idea someone mentioned earlier of repetition being involved in the band name (or an album or song or something). There must be some reason for the redundancy in the clue.
Bonnaroo Wish 2011 Wish List.. Going Big lol... F&TM, Robyn, La Roux, of Montreal, Janelle Monae, Sia, M.I.A., Girl Talk, Daft Punk, Animal Collective, Radiohead, The xx (but prolly not), iamamiwhoami (would be a dream), Yeasayer, Grizzly Bear... perhaps more but that would be greedy haha

Beach Boys is a big probability. They're opening up Riverbend in Chattanooga a few days before hand.
how does it fit the second half of the clue?
good vibrations? Gotta keep those lovin' good vibrations A happenin'
"I, I love the colorful clothes she wears And the way the sunlight plays upon her hair I hear the sound of a gentle word On the wind that lifts her perfume through the air "
if there was ever a song to use as a clue for the beach boys it would be good vibrations.
