Sux. Coachella had these last year. Cheap, plastic, sh1tty wristbands. I loved Bonnaroo for sticking with cloth writsbands as long as they did as most major festivals abandoned them after 2007.

WTF? No ticket? This blows. And I agree with the no plastic wristbands. They may be good for one night but they irritate the shit out of you by the end of the weekend. I wonder what the reasoning is behind this.
This could be a big help, last year we waited for probably 8 to10 minutes for the barcode scanner to read the ticket. This was a huge obstacle as far as getting people onto the site. If the rfid bands reduce the problem by even half then we can plan on spending a lot more time enjoying the tunes and a lot less time sitting in traffic.
the only positive will be that we won't have to carry cash around
Why do you think that? I had one last year and still needed monies.
I'm sure as hell not going to link my debit card to a wristband.
From an article
Music fans will pay electronically rather than using cash by a RFID wristband and cash top-up systems. Fans can use the wristband to buy everything from food and drink to t-shirts and their favorite CDs. In addition,
Although the investment on infrastructure for such RFID systems will be significant, the prospect of allowing fans to use wristbands have many benefits. The big advantage of using RFID wristband is to avoid has millions of pounds of cash on festival sites, which can be seen as a security risk. The wristband can also be use like a entry ticket, that function can lead a easy controlling entry to different parts of the festival, such as backstage or VIP areas.

well shit!. . . I want a ticket . . . even if it is just for show. Every year we make a colleague of ticket, band, booklets, stubs, and stickers, and other little items we receive. Gonna seem very empty if there is no ticket, Time to get a smaller frame
