I think I'm going to do this! So what are the campgrounds like compared to roo? Any idea on how many people attend this thing?
I agree with every thing longinus is saying. Although they are adding a chocolate, chesse, and wine tasting to VIP, I am not sure it is worth the extra $$. Either way, BC is my favorite music fest and MB you will not be dissapointed with SOSMP and Bear Creek!

I went last year for the first time and only knew of about 5 or 6 acts on the lineup. It was such an unforgettable experience, beautiful festival site, amazing crowd and I got introduced to a lot of great acts I probably would have passed on otherwise. I knew the second we drove away that I would be back again next year no matter what the lineup was. This years lineup can't get much better. Looking forward to at least 22 of the acts on the bill and being introduced to dozens more!
Unless I manage to save a large amount vacation days and funds, I'll have to decide between this and MOEMS. Both will require a plane ticket, so they are significant undertakings for me (and more importantly they are so close together). Moog/MOEMS is one of my favorites, but Wanee was so mind-blowing, I'd LOVE to do Bear Creek.

I'm literally just waiting on a Hulaween announcement to see if I can do the preparty or not. Definitely in, it's just how much time in. There's only so much vaca time to go around, and I don't think the fam will understand if I skip Christmas because I needed extra time in the woods.
Well, since my trip to SOSMP for Wanee fell through, I believe I will have to put this one on the radar for a late in the year fest. This will come about a month after Yonder Harvest fest so maybe I can swing it this time!
If I didn't had such a magnificent time at Moog the past two years, Bear Creek would be a clear winner. In general, I would rather camp and have outdoor stages then hotel it up and be inside venues. I just need to wait out the lineup and see how AC is handling MOEMS in comparison to Moog...

Does MOEMS have an Underwater Short-Cut? BC has less than half the crowd size and double the stages than Wanee does. Did you see the closer at Wanee? Remember that set? Well BC has that, X2!

Thanks Scrog and longinus for the info and heads up. Fuck chocolate and cheese I'll do GA. The only reason I considered VIP was the possiblility of camping closer to the stages but if the attendance is under 20K I doubt that perc would be worth the extra $$$. Got to say I'm really looking forward to this, it looks truly amazing. Think they'll be more adds?

It looks like Bear Creek will be a slim to none chance for me. MOEMS just wins... and I was hoping to maybe make both happen, but I realized that my sister is due Nov 8th, so I'll need a few days to visit her as well. BUT I WILL be at Wanee!!!!

Sorry to here you guys are not making it to BC, but from what I hear you are making a damn good choice, so I can not argue with that. For your absence, we will "pour one out" on the trail in your honor.
Are bearcreek and MOEMS happening the same weekend? Please tell me this can't be true! Also I was thinking, do you think we could make a big parachute that looks like a jelly fish. Big enough for it to cover an entire tree and hang over the sides and then tie tentacles from the branches maybe even make it glow around the edges?

Oh good! I was thinking that the wind would make it look like it was moving. Not sure how to get it OVER the tree but I'm pretty good at tree climbing and at least we could throw something OVER the tree and drag it. I'm excited, as long as this is after MOEMS I'm in.
Yeah, they're different weekends. But they are both distance fests requiring plane tickets and 3+ days off each, so unfortunately, I had to choose one...

No, BC is always two weeks after Halloween. I love the super large, with long tentacles, Jellyfish idea, I am sure we can figure out a way to hang it and light it up! I want to see a lot of Jelly fishes this year.
I just so happen to have a super fun crochet pattern for jellyfish. Great for "floating" decorations. Also great for wearing like a big, jelly necklace.
Ps. Have I mentioned that I desperately wanted to be a octopus for Halloween a couple years ago, but my plans fell through? I feel like all my dreams are about to come through this November (except for the parts that include bonzai and Siggy)
Even if I can't make it to the fest, I still want to help with decorations if I can.
Helping with decorations!! Yell yes! Also, if you can, just go a head and get the time off work Maybe we can use you in a sweetshop, as slave labor, to pay for the rest.
