anyone know if the light installations for Hulaween will be kept up thru Bear Creek? I keep hearing they are trying to do something like the forest in rothbury.
No, the lights and Spirt Lake will not be up for Bear Creek, like it will be for Hulaween. I think the Hulaween crew doing those lights work with/for SCI. Although, i would like to see Paul use some of the ideas for BC, but i am not counting on it. Either way, Bear Creek will still look amazing and funky munky is correct, SCC will be lighting up the woods like no other, for both festivals.
Bring you inner Jedi or Sith and come join the first of many SCC sponsored light saber battles at SOSMP!!! That is right, do you have a light saber, bring it! Do not have a light saber, then get one. Be ready for an epic battle(for FUN, and only FUN) Saturday after the main music. See you on the short cut.

Hey all, I am seriously considering doing both Bear Creek & Suwannee Hulaween, but haven't got tix yet...I also haven't read all the way thru this thread!! Is there a roll call? Anyone considering doing both? I will go back and read thru the thread...eventually, but in the mean time can someone get me up to speed??

There are lots of us doing both and quite a few of us camping together at Short Cut Camp. Scrog curates a facebook group for the camp if you're interested.

Hey Bear Creekers, we have lots of exciting news this week! Along with this artist spotlight on the livetronica acts bringing the dance beats to the Park, we have info on our nightly Costume Themes! Our Friday theme will be “Warm and Fuzzy: Get Your Inner Animal On.” Bootsy Collins himself has picked the Saturday theme of “Space is the Place…Sun Ra Afro Power Freak Dance Royal Funk Theme.” And Sunday will be “The Color Purple.” Start picking out your costumes now and come prepared to go all out and get weird!
We're a month away! I'm trying not too get excited. The only costume I have is my Potter costume and I don't know if I can afford anything else so the black Harry Potter will make his way to Bear Creek. Maybe with a light saber. So the Wizard Jedi may be born.

This is our first trip to SOS, any suggestions on where the best place to set up camp is? Would love to camp as close to the festival gates as possible (had a horrible experience at Lockn' where they placed us literally over 2 miles away)?
We should be arriving in the afternoon on thursday
Camping by the lake is tight d*ck, but most of the spots may be gone by thursday afternoon. Scrog sets up a really cool camp area and I would try to get close to him. He's normally pretty close to the gate, pretty much right behind the amphitheater.

I tried for the Capital Cities meet up at Coastline... realized I was the only one there. My account only lasts a day or so here it seems so I will take your directions as they are already set. I'll be the guy with the vuvzela looking confused.

vuvzela are not welcome at Short Cut Camp! And if I took a poll, I would say they are not welcome at SOSMP. If I were you, I would be just the guy looking confused.
