4 people in a car means they have to pay an extra 15$ to attend Roo - seems like a cash grab. At least make it that the more people carpooling the less money you pay. 5 People per car 20$, 4 people per car $30, 3 people per car $40, 2 people $50, 1 person $60 (forever alone ).
I been to Roo the past 3 years, I rarely saw cars that had a single person in them. I seen cars parked with no people camping next to them. Those were the people who came in Friday evening or Saturday because they couldnt come in with their friends on a Wednesday. I dont think its right to charge them 60$ extra. Because those people are usually buying the last minute 3rd and 4th tier tickets that are already more expensive by 25$ or more.
Where are you getting that math from? The parking pass is $60/car not per person. 1 person = $60 2 people = $30 3 people = $20 4 people = $15 5 people = $12
The explained why they are adding the parking pass, and if you already bought with the pre-sale you are exempt. I get being upset, especially since they didn't announce this prior to pre-sale, but they are actually using the money to improve the site (or so they say).
If you are seeing cars parked with nobody camped, they are probably tent only people. Most drop off their car and trek it over there.
You obviously weren't one of those people on my Facebook feed posting erroneous calculations concerning how everyone in the United States could be a millionaire off the Powerball.

No. I wasn't. I am also not one of those people that post BS without fact checking it either. Math and research are your friends.

I'm still worried as to how this is going to affect the vibez.
I have friends who bought pre-sale, and their vibez are still presumably going to be pretty chill.
But then some other friends in our group are going to end up paying $60 more for parking in the general sale, and their vibez will be decidedly not chill.
When we all get together, the individual vibez will have such a wide variance and it throws the whole group vibez off.
Anyone have any potential solutions to this? I'm picturing a weekend full of conflicting vibez and it's devastating. I mean shit, if I wanted harsh vibez I'd go to Coachella and watch 100k people take selfies and talk about celebrities. That's not chill. That's bad vibez.

How come none of this info tells you how big the actual spot is? I plan on traveling with 4 people prob and is this "space" in front of my car enough? if they gave a measurement i would be able to map it out..Will there be more room for the fixeens?

LiveNation will be supplying day packs of vibes on their website for cheap. Way cheaper than the General Store on site.

Let me rephrase my statement - I wish Bonnaroo were to charge per person and not per car. The more people you have in a car the less money you should pay. My math has an incentive approach - if you bring 5 people you should pay 20$ and not 60$.

But you're essentially paying $12 each now if you bring five people in one car.

real question. can anyone give me some details on how signing up for/gaining groop camping sites works? I go with a huge group evey year but we've worked out a solid caravan method since we didn't really want to pay for groop if we didn't need to.
Well, now that everyone has to pay anyway, I'm going to push for groop.
is groop sold out? (Website makes me think no, but I thought I heard murmurings that it was) and are you able to add people up until right before roo? we usually have a lot of friends of friends show up, so being able to add people at the last minute is vital.
...what world do you live in where paying 60 bucks for 20 beers counts as "cheap?"
if you're buying two beers a week, you aren't taking them home
two good beers at a bar is gonna run you $10-12
What? I'm not a beer aficionado, but I don't drink complete crap, and even at concert halls where beer prices are jacked a beer cost $7-$8. You must be knocking back some high quality stuff.

okay. ramble over.
It goes on sale when tickets do. One person will have to buy the groop spot ($150, but $100 is refunded when the rest of groop registers). That person will come up with a groop name and password so people can buy into that groop. The groop leader will also be sent all the parking passes and have to mail them to the right people. 1 groop pass per 3 people registered and paid. 24 people minimum I believe. When you get to roo you drive to groop, tell them which groop you are in, and they will tell you where to park.
edit: I think some time in early april is the last day to join a groop.

at most restaurants and bars anything considered "craft" and above is going to be on average $6-$7 a beer - or at least in my experience in any major city. even light beers run about $4 a pop unless it's happy hour.

Also, please be creative with the groop name. I looked at the big board last year expecting gold and there was a whole ton of lame.

That sucks, I think its weird if I pay more than like four bucks for a ''craft'' beer. I mean even at most music venues in town they are not more than five. I think the only one that charges more is the arena and its up around six or seven.

Anyone in this thread who falls behind on bills to attend a music festival really should get their priorities in check. I used to be terrible with money, and stupidly spent a lot of money in college attending music festivals and events I had no real business to attend. Yeah, the experience was fun a lot of the time, but current me would prefer more of a savings.
