Strum, i heard it was a noise issue too, but it didn't seem like it was so firm that they couldn't change it if they wanted, it seemed like more of a courtesy combined with not needing it.

Many artists list Thursday as their Bonnaroo date because its the first day of the festival, or it is simply an arrival date. And I don't see anything on his website about "Headlining" or "main stage"
I really hope Kanye gets a show in the dark. However, it would be such a drag if his set confliucted with one of my must see late night bands like Sigur Ros

it really makes sense anyways. if he's going to do his glow in the dark $hit it's going to take some time to convert the stage into a giant glowing robot or whatever the fu¢k they're doing. so it would probably be ideal to have him as the first headliner so they would have ample amount of time to set the stage up. my opinion only.

As I mentioned before, aside from all the usual reasons that no one "headlines" on Thursday, he is in Minnesota on Wednesday. While it is certainly possible he jets down to Manchester real quick, I think it's unlikely.
but it does say on various websites that he will be playing on the 12th. so one would think that would be correct. i know that a lot of times pollstar puts people on the schedule for the first day of the fest but i'd say that kanye's website would at least have that date correct.
i could be wrong though. im at least hoping he headlines thursday night. i think that would be a good spot for kanye.

Yea, Pollstar generally gets their info from artist websites/press releases. Its not as if they are privy to any sort of information we are not.

i didn't know if anyone had checked his website or not so i was just saying...
since his website has him listed for thursday night, he will probably be playing thursday night.
and taking into consideration that it's Kanye West, it would only make sense that he performed on the main stage as a headliner, even though there has never been an official "headliner" on thursday night.
