i still think it'll be a chris rock (welcome to bonnaroo, let's laugh together) then Kayne(let's glow together)around 10 pm Thursday mainstage....then late night.
"Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us." — Charles Bukowski

And I'm not really a Kanye advocate, but he just won Album of the year . . . you don't put the guy who won album of the year in a tent, I think he's going to draw a bigger crowd then GRAB.
Not to be a stickler for details or anything, but Herbie Hancock won album of the year. He won RAP album of the year, which is obviously much less meaningful.

chris rock is gonna be on friday right before metallica in my opinion and i feel like kanye is gonna get squeezed out of a late night show which is a bummer. i'm really starting to think that kanye and metallica are gonna end up doing what the roots and tool did last year but superfly doesn't really ever do the same thing twice so i'm sure i'll be wrong

Kanyes tour is the glow in the dark tour, that is his schtick this year, so there is no way he is before headliners or anytime with any form of natural light coming down. It is now looking more and more that he is actually a Thursday headliner, and if that is the case they will go ahead and open up the gates late Wednesday night and let the folks setup then.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

yeah it is the glow in the dark tour but i've lost all confidence that we will be seeing that show on the farm since phil and mmj are taking up the which stage late night. i know a bunch of people don't like him, i love him but i know he isn't gonna take a tent stage. plus think about this 2006 elvis costello was listed above beck on the lineup and they were both #4 and 5 on the list but beck played after elvis costello on the what stage saturday, last years 4 and 5 were the white stripes who played a day set on the which stage and ben harper played the midday set on the what stage. just my supporting evidence that kanye isn't bringing the glow in the dark tour. i actually think that lupe and talib have a better chance of playing late night than kanye
I admittedly havent read the entire thread leading up to this, so forgive me if this has been mentioned but...
...has anyone ever considered the idea that they might put him on the WHAT Stage AFTER a major headliner and in the same slot at other late-night acts? I could totally see Kanye taking the stage around midnight Saturday after Pearl Jam finishes. I know it's never been done before, but I think it makes perfect sense.
"We're no longer called Sonic Death Monkey. We're on the verge of becoming Kathleen Turner Overdrive, but just for tonight, we are Barry Jive and his Uptown Five. "
Regarding the issue of Kanye on Thursday, Les Claypool is playing Langerado on Thursday. I know Kanye is more successful in the mainstream, but Les is a huge draw for a festival. If Les Claypool can play a Thursday night show at a festival like Langerado, Kanye West can do the same at Bonnaroo.

Main Stage is not an option on Thursday, as they leave it closed to throw the VIP pre-party at the back of the main stage, where the Kat Nap Cafe is located (they use the speaker system from Kat Nap to do the VIP pre-party.)
You can 100% rule out any shows on Thursday on the What Sage.
