he he he.. Aerosmith in 1996... with my parents! My dad leaned over to me during the concert and said, "Do you smell that odor? That's pot." And I thought, "How does my dad know that?"

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones at the Keswick Theatre. I was 13, and it was the first in a very long line of concerts I would go to with my Dad (still do). Victor Wooten almost made me cry tears of joy - hell, the whole band did.

My first show was the Moody Blues with the Nashville Symphony in 1993. It was a family affair, my dad being the big fan, I was all of thirteen. Love me some Moody Blues.
1997, just after high school graduation... saw The Who on their Quadrophenia tour at Tinley Park / Chicago. Very possibly changed my life.
hey i saw them at Deer Creek that tour, great show. My first show was Aerosmith, Get a Grip tour 95' with Collective Soul opening, again at Deer Creek. God I love that place.

My first concert was with my mom. She took me to see Micheal Jackson on the Bad tour. It was at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago. It was bananas. Girls were fainting left and right.
My next three concerts were with my dad. He took me to 1993,94,95 Soldier Field shows in Chicago.
My son's first concert was the String Cheese Incident at Alpine Valley.
Audio Adrenaline and Third Day with my junior high youth group at Six Flags Over Texas. Five girls danced topless on stage....
First by myself (that I recall anyway) was Ben Folds on his first solo tour. That was also the first time I saw Citizen Cope, who remains the worst live performer I have ever seen.

Rolling Stones Steel Wheels Tour 1989, (what was then known as the Hoosier Dome, now the RCA Dome) went with a friend of mines parents. Living Color opened for them and the lead singer took a header (like 12 feet or more) off one level of the stage. He was ok and back on shortly afterwards.
My Son's first concert was "The Dead" at Columbia Meadows in 2004, We went on to The Gorge (if you ever have the chance to see a show there, GO) the next night and stopped for coffee on the way home and won tickets for Fleetwood Mac the next day at The Clark County Amphitheatre Just north of Portland. Fleetwood Mac turned out to be the loudest of the shows, too loud to be in our "reserved" seats, so we traded them to what seemed to be some real fans for their lawn tix.

While I listed my first concert as King's X and AC/DC earlier, That was only my first non-garage band show. My first actual live "musical experience" was when Cryptic Death opened for Exorcism at the Fountain City Opptimist's Club in '88. It was an incredible aural experience that not only utilized chronicaly faulty vocal effects but, introduced me to the sheer carnage that is a 7 person mosh-pit! It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I was a late bloomer for hitting up concerts. I didn't go to my first one until the summer after my freshman year of college... ever since I have been making up for lost time
My first show was Dave Matthews Band at the Meadowlands.. great show!
My first concert was one of the probably 20 or so oldies concerts that my parents used to cart me around to (ah, the joys of being an only child!) so if they sang in the 50's or the 60's and are still alive I probably have seen them
but my first concert that I actually picked was the Bangles... I think I was in the 3rd grade, and I know I felt really cool
first concert without my parents... I think was Ben Folds Five, but it's hard to remember cause I started going to a lot of concerts my freshman year of high school.
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."
