For me it was November 9th, 1989. I was 9 years old, and got the awesome experience of seeing New Kids On The Block. Dino opened up, and I was the happiest monkey boy ever. I'd like to think that it was the pure awesomeness of that show that got me addicted to concerts. After all, there was a 30 foot high inflatable snowman on stage as they rocked out Christmas songs in between such all-time hits like "Cover Girl" and "(You Got It) The Right Stuff"
That's pretty funny. New Kids on the Block was actually my first concert too. i was 5 at the time.
the second concert i went to was m.c. hammer. im not sure how old i was then but that $hit was bad ass. My first real concert was back in 95' i think. It was White Zombie and filter. then in 96' i saw metallica and i also saw Skynyrd and Z.Z. top in that same year.
Now that i think about it i believe i've seen skynyrd live more times than any other band. I do live in nashville though and it seems like they come here about 3 times a month.

my first would have been The Tragically Hip in 1999, I believe it was. Very good show, very bad venue, incredibly bad seats.
I saw a ton of others with my parents before that, I think I went to 15 or 16 Winnipeg Folk Festivals with them, but that was the first show I went to on my own.

my first concert was... Vanilla Ice pretty much what you would expect, not good. but i found it funny that all the girls threw there bras and panties on the stage. ahh vanilla ice you silly silly man.
Alice Cooper-Burton Cummings (the Guess Who)-The Dictators Hulman Center Terre Haute Indiana 1976. Back in the day when everything was general admission no seats on the floor. I think I paid $6 for my ticket.
My parents took me to see Slim Pickens when I was a kid. 1974? I saw Bo Danaldson and The Heywoods (Billy Don't Be A Hero) at the fair. My first real concert was Styx in 1979.

First was Estradasphere 2002, on my 19th birthday in a small venue in Louisiana. I took a rode trip down there cause they never make it to this side of the states. Hooked ever since.
my first big concert was stone temple pilots during the tiny music tour...i had been to small club shows prior, but it was to support friends, so i dont think those would count

First concert for me was
June 21, 1997 - Texas Motor Speedway hosted the Blockbuster RockFest for an estimated 385,000 participants. Featured performers were matchbox 20, Jewel , Bush, No Doubt, Collective Soul, Counting Crows and the Wallflowers.
I was 11 and i got killed in the mosh pit of a band called SOAK.

My first was when I was maybe 14? So 6 years ago. I was dragged to an All American Rejects show by my cousins, and got kicked in the head repeatedly by crowd surfers.
There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard. No song that I could sing. But I can try for your heart Our dreams, and they are made out of real things Like a, shoebox of photographs With sepiatone loving Love is the answer
A little feeling in my gut that I get of late when I think about these cats running the world with hate

My dad took me to see Neil Diamond around 1991, but I still consider my first concert Metallica in 1992. They rocked the doodie out of Dallas, and I was in fifth grade. it seemed like I was the youngest kid at the show. I was also going to a private school that thought all rock music was evil. Let alone Metallica. That school made me Agnostic.
Ok first real concert I was was with my mom...it was...aw man this is bad, Micheal Jackson and the Jackson five for the victory tour...It was when thriller and all that was really hot! Then I got to see many on my own, loved them all. Primus was one of my first in High school and it was amazing. THen we use to sneak into shows in Miami's Bayfront park. We would jump the huge wall by making a human ladder and have a blast, saw.. =spin doctors =Kings X =nirvana =Pearl Jam =I cant even remember them all!
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
My first was Green Day (I know, late bloomer) on the Warning tour. My real first was the Charlie Daniels Band, but I was pretty young. I do still remember watching it from someone's shoulders, though.
Lollapalooza, July 1994 @ Marcus Ampitheatre in Milwaukee Smashing Pumpkins/Beastie Boys co-headline George Clinton & P-Funk All-Stars the Breeders A Tribe Called Quest Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds L7 the Boredoms --- Flaming Lips the Frogs Luscious Jackson the Verve a couple other second-stage acts that escape me
Well, my first real rock concert at least... My parents took us to see Weird Al at a county fair when I was around 10 if I have to get specific.
